Peter Borden's Online Review Report Card

Awesome staff and great Doctors especially Dr.Borden!

Would leave 0 stars if I could! Dr. Borden is a great doctor, but his staff is very incompetent. Made an appointment on yesterday (Tuesday) for today (Wednesday) and when checking in today it turns out it was not until Thursday! The rep I talked to even confirmed that the appointment was for Weds at the Torrance location, but as it turns out it was for another location. What is more annoying about this whole experience is because my wife took the day off to bring me to my appointment which she would of not done if she herself would of not heard Dr. Borden's scheduler confirm the time, date and location for the appointment. Sadly, I will be looking for another orthopedic doctor as due to his staff!

Insults the patient for taking time to ask "A busy doctor" questions about his suggested surgery on my torn rotator cuff, (One less busy patient to waste his valuable time on now), arrogant, and has the bed side manners of a total jerk! Minus zero stars on about 20 issues.

Dr Borden treated me years ago with a torn ligament and recovery during my work years. He is one of the most intelligent and professional Doctors I have had the good fortune to come across. I have had no follow up problems, and know that if I do he and his great staff will be there to help me through it. I am forever thankful and now enjoy my good health in retirement.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! This place has horrible service. For one, they do not answer the phones at all. I called and called, left multiple voicemails for over a week and no one ever responded. On top of that, the front desk sent my paper work incorrectly to my Occupational therapist. And when I mentioned to Dr. Michelle she immediately snapped at me and negligent my treatment. Instead of checking with the front desk she persist on telling me they should have called instead too clarify. (How can they if no one picks up the phone). After that she was rude and every question she asked lack empathy. This place is a cash cow.

ZERO STARS. This man needs his license revoked. I'm sure several of his patients have had good treatment, however I got the crap end of the stick. He never spent more than 2 minutes with me each visit, left after my knee surgery, and rushes out of the room without answering serious questions. One of his male nurses jammed my sandal on my foot immediately after I awoke from surgery. I am still in pain and worried of nerve damage. On my follow up, the PA -- Josh, I believe -- gave me wrong instructions. For two weeks I had my leg in a straight brace, when I should have began PT. Borden dismissed me when I asked if this was going to make me worse off. Seriously, this guy is either a racist, classicist, or just a plain old old rude doctor. I am not stopping until this delinquent's career is compromised. It is not fair how dismissive and unresponsive he is. I am worried for any other patients that go to him. I am worried for my life returning to normal, thanks to Borden's negligence. I am praying I will be okay. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR LIFE AND WELL BEING.

Great experience at Sports & Spine. Saw both Josh the PA and Dr. Borden. Josh gave me shots in my knee for my cartilage damage. I didn't feel the injections all! Josh and Dr. Borden are top notch

Avoid this doctor at all costs! My insurance sent me to him because he is apparently a knee specialist, and I need a knee replacement surgery. This was an out of network referral as I had not been able to find a specialist participating in my insurance plan who could do this surgery. As soon as Dr. Borden entered the room, he appeared to be rude. He didn't introduce himself. Despite assurances from his office staff that he has read my profile and able to help me out, he was confused and didn't know how I managed to get an appointment with his office. He told me that I am overweight and not a candidate for a surgery. He then stated that even if I was in good physical shape, he would not do the surgery. When I pressed him that his office manager had mentioned that he can help me, he rudely asked how did I manage to make an appointment in his office?! When I asked him if physical therapy can help me? He rudely and in a loud voice said he had already answered my question which he really had not. I guess the answer was no. I called my insurance to inform them about what happened. A representative from my insurance told me that they will talk to doctor's office manager. The manager was supposed to send the doctor's report which specifies the reason as to why he can't do the surgery to my insurance, so I can be referred to another specialist. It has been a week, and they still haven't sent that report. I am asking the office manager for Doctor Borden to please send his report to my insurance, so I can get the treatment I need. I give a high probability that someone from his office may read my review. In the meantime., you the consumer stay away from this doctor.

I have had to take my daughter for an arm break and knee injury and my husband for a broken collarbone and Dr. Borden and his staff were amazing and helpful. Dr. Borden explained everything very clearly, he was thorough and very professional.
