Dr Tobias was completely professional . I received ablation surgery of the atrial chamber to stop my SVT which was occurring about every couple months at the time. After having emergency personnel stop my heart several times to re-set my heart, I decided to have the surgery. I am so grateful I did. Have not had an issue with SVT since 2001. The Dr. did exactly what he said he would do and I am so happy I chose this Doctor to do the surgery.
My husband and I have found Dr Tobias to be very concerned of his patients health and wellbeing. He often goes above and beyond the norm to make sure his patients get the medical care they need. When my husband needed emergency surgery to put in a pacemaker Dr Tobias wanted to operate that night after office hours. He is very conscientious and takes as much time as each patient needs to listen and explain your condition and care.
We have been going to Dr Tobias for over five years. He is the best. He knows his stuff and has helped my wife go from atrial fibrillation problems to under control. We have trusted him with her life and he has performed.
Doctor Tobias was highly recommended by my primary Physician and my heart Doctor as well, to this date I'm totally satisfied and confident on his knowledge and practice to continue my care taking it to the next level.
I have been going to Dr. Tobias for many years. He has always been professional and kind. While I have had to wait to see him past the appointment time I have credited it to his giving each and every patient the time and attention they deserve which may result in prior appointment extending beyond the allotted time. I have complete faith in Dr. Tobias' abilities as a surgeon and physician and call myself fortunate for having him on my care team.
Dr. Tobias is more than an outstanding Surgeon. I would go to him again! Beyond office appointments, he was at my side before I was anesthetized, he was in recovery when I woke AND he was there the next day to release me!!! He answered almost every question but gets impatient when you ask the same question another time. Bring a friend to help take notes. The two office nurses I had are outstanding. Overall rating is due to his office process. I have very little use for the rest of the office staff. Appointments were often changed or I was left to wait for hours in the lobby. The person who did the echo test is rude. The person who gets insurance approvals did not return calls and told me an untruth.
I had two cardiac ablations by Dr. Tobias and both failed. During the second one I had an anaphylactic reaction on the table for which they had to reverse it and stop the procedure as they were losing me. Dr. Tobias said I needed a pacemaker. A friend begged me to see her doctor, so in the interim before scheduling an appointment for a pacemaker I saw another cardiologist. Both he and the new electrophysiologist said I was borderline and did not need a pacemaker and if I needed anything it would be a defibrillator but because I was borderline they were going to work with medications first. It’s been about two years now, and my heart is pumping almost normally in medications. I am very glad I found a new doctor. My new doctor is with Cedars-Sinai, and I have never seen a staff or a doctor who are so on top of everytging little thjng, include labs, et cetera. I never even received a phone call from Dr. Tobias’ office even with regard to scheduling for the unnecessary pacemaker. I’m thankful for my friend for referring me to her doctor as I might not be alive today.
This review is on behalf of my husband who is still recovering from a multiple arrhythmia ablation surgery. Dr. Tobias originally seemed to be a decent doctor (as long as he could take his eyes off my tits long enough to reply). Prior to the surgery, my husband expressed his concern with the anesthesia. He mentioned to Dr. Tobias that he had previous issues and he was concerned about the level that would be provided. My husband expressed that he didn't think being on light enough anesthesia to be woken up during the surgery was a good idea (which is what both my husband and i heard from Dr. Tobias at our first meeting). The doctor told him that he must have heard him incorrectly (clearly we didnt) as he would be asleep the entire time. Welp, my husband woke up MULTIPLE times during the surgery complaining of pain. He vividly remembers the feeling of them inside his chest... something he was told he would be sleeping for. Dr. Tobias and his team also managed to burn my husband's testicles. He had been complaining about the pain and the people at the hospital were so rude about it. It wasn't until I took him home that we found out why he was in as much pain as he was. During our follow up, Dr. Tobias was incredibly rude which we expected considering the result of this. He made the arrhythmia worse (still not fixed) which in turn made the procedure a massive waste of time, money and patience. Avoid him if you can and find someone not just out to make a quick buck off of you. (And yes I STILL have pictures of his burnt balls for proof and the recording of the conversation between Dr. Tobias, his staff member, myself and my husband.)
Terrible beside manner. Office staff doesn't follow through. Waste of time. Will not return.
For the last Week I have been trying to get a appointment with this Cardiologist. Unfortunately they kept sending me to voicemail so I was never able to see the Dr. Due to the Receptionist unprofessionalism I ended up in the Emergency Room. I will be seeking some type of legal Advice.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
