Tried to get a schedule with them last 4 months but no luck. Don't waist ur time!!
I gotta say that the saving grace of the office is nurse practitioner Katrina. (Katrina, you're great at your job, and if you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and find someplace where you’d be better appreciated.) The office staff pledged to call me two weeks after my original appt for a colonoscopy pre-screen, but never followed up. They did send a helpful smartphone calendar reminder, advising me to call them back after two weeks to follow-up, but included a wrong number with it. After no follow-up from them at the four-week mark, I happened to call during lunch and left a message for a call back, explaining the situation. No returned call. Two days later, I called them again, got a person, got disconnected, called back and was told I needed to wait an extra week to receive notice for my insurance to authorize the procedure. It shouldn’t be this complicated to get a simple colonoscopy.
The staff is EXTREMELY rude and the Doctor should retire now. He shouldn’t be working in his condition. Run!
The wait is awful. I’ve been there 3 or 4 times and I wait at least an hour and a half every time. Bring a book!
If you are being referred to this doctor and you do not have cash or a PPO insurance you’re not gonna get proper care. I am reporting this office not only to the Better Business Bureau but also to the Cali board. The office staff is immature and bitter. They have absolutely no manners whatsoever. You can clearly see the staff in this office is only there for a paycheck. Don’t go to this office read the other comments. RUN!
My husband passed almost a year ago. After Simmons colonoscopy my husband never stopped bleeding internally. Simmons called me and told me he messed up the procedure and then said "Your husband wasn't in the best health ANYWAY " in a shrugging of the shoulders tone. I guess that was his way of justifying butchering my husband. My husband fought so long and hard to live. If I can save one person, one family from the pain that I and my children feel, I will. My words are true.
This man Timothy Simmons took my husband's life without an ounce of concern, so much so that he admitted he messed up, in his so what tone of voice. I would give my last breath, the last beat of my heart to see my husband's smiling face, to hold his hand, to hear his voice again. Please stay away from this beast. I don't want anyone to feel the hurt I feel. The days are long and slow moving. It doesn't get easier. Each day feels like the day my husband died.

I have had many maladies including 2 cancers where most hospitals in NY were pesimistic that I would surviveI chose Sloane Kettering and I must say that is why I am still here. They all were wonderful.Yes, I made it and it is all because of all the good care I got from all of the staff. Recently I have had GI problems and have been in much pain.I was referred to dr. Simmons here in L.B. by m wonderful G.P Dr. A Shaudry.)The reviews on Yelp were not great for the staff at Dr. Simmons's office but I can say one thing and that is that whoever wrote it was very wrong or perhaps they had a different staff when it was written. When I called the first time Cindy answered the phone and was so so accommodating/pleasant it was like being in a VIP reception. When I came in for my appointmentI was then taken to a room to meet Dr. Simmons. What a gracious and gentle doctor!!!Today I called and Brenda answered the phone. OMG yet another employee that was so so accommodating. She did not rush me off the phone but took her time and wrote down all the pertinent notes needed to give to Dr. Simmons.Again...Thank you to the whole staff!!! (Cyndy, Cindy, Sandra, and Dr. Simmons).I hope you realize the huge difference you make.Anna Salisbury
(I hesitated to give five stars because the caption by five stars is "woohoo! as good as it gets!" And, uh.....well, colonoscopy, that's all I'm saying. You know?)In any case, Dr. S.performed my colonoscopy this past Monday. I've had a number of these procedures and except for one, they've all been as pleasant as such a thing can be. That being the case, may I just say that Dr. Simmons was cheerful and kind at 8:00 in the morning, which is more than most of us can say. My preliminary consult with him also went very well. He took his time and went the extra mile with my case.I'm grateful, after my last extremely negative and potentially dangerous experience, to have found Dr. Simmons.A word on the office staff. I've needed to see a number of docs lately, so also seeing staffs in action. The one constant is that staff seems....uh...overburdened? They are certainly multi-tasking, and it seems to result in mistakes on many levels. I don't want to denigrate Dr. Simmon's office staff, as I don't do their jobs(s). It is possible that another staffer needs to be added, or responsibilities assigned in a more efficient and humanistic manner.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
