List of Tyler De Jong's Reviews
Takes time to listen. Respects patient choices and experiences. Knowledgeable.
Dr.Tyler is my mom's primary care provider and he has done a fantastic job. He is very patient, professional and caring. I am happy we have Dr. Tyler on my mom's corner.
I would like to thank Dr. De Jong for saving my life. I recently moved to Long Beach and was assigned to him, by my health insurance company, and on my first visit he quickly diagnosed that I was having a serious heart issue and immediately sent me to the emergency room at the hospital. Dr. DeJong and his team contacted the emergency room at the MemorialCare Medical Center to inform them I would be arriving there soon. He also suggested that my husband drive me there, as it would be faster than getting an ambulance. When we arrived the hospital the staff was already outside waiting for me at the entrance with a wheelchair, and then they took me directly to a room. Ultimately, I ended up spending a week in intensive care at the hospital, but thanks to Dr. De Jong and his extremely fast and professional evaluation, the team at the hospital got everything working properly again with my heart. When I returned to his office, for a follow up visit a week or so after I got out of the hospital, he seemed very interested in talking to me and wanted to know everything that happened while I was in the hospital, He also wanted to confirm I was treated well by the staff the whole time I was there. Again, I highly recommend Dr. De Jong.
While my mom's white blood cells were abnormally high and still increasing for 3 days, I asked him if it was safe to discharge my mother. He ignored my question and said she was to be discharged. Two days after discharge, my mother had to be readmitted to a different hospital. Los Alamitos Medical Center should not use this doctor as its attending doctor. If I had a choice, I would give this man zero stars.
He does not deserve 5 stars. This doctor is extremely petty. He will not save a patient or honor a patient's last wishes.
I have had the opportunity to observe Dr. Dejong over the years and his compassion, patience, and attention given to each patient is palpable. He is a very caring physician dedicated to his profession and dedicated to the needs of others. He goes above and beyond to ensure each patient receives the care they deserve. A true patient advocate and a pleasure to know.
Dr Tyler DeJong has been caring for my elderly mother for a few years now. At 95 years old, she had outlived her previous doctors, so we were delighted to have her become one of his patients. Mom and I appreciate his calm and thoughtful demeanor. He is respectful and attentive. He speaks directly to her, and listens to her. He is good at managing her ever changing medical needs. He has helped me keep my mom healthy, and out of the hospital. His office staff is amazing!! They are all friendly and kind. Plus we never wait a long time to be seen. I don’t know how they do it.
Not crazy about the front office staff not all that nice
Dr Tyler DeJong was kind, thoughtful, thorough and respectful with my 94 year old mother during her visit. He listened to her concerns, and addressed each one. His office staff is very friendly and efficient. We rarely have to wait to be seen.
Dr. Tyler De Jong is caring, efficient, and most knowledgeable about his patients. I really appreciate and like the way that he makes he time to first listen to his patients then proceed to diagnose. I trust him whole heartedly with my life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
