Va Long Beach Healthcare System's Online Review Report Card

This place is disgusting, the federal government pays its employees literally 20% less than their market value, my ex wife has work for them for almost 10 years and her extremely low salary and her stubborn behavior have financially broken us, all because of their disgusting broken promises.

Good luck getting an appointment that isn't months to a year out and a doctor who actually cares. Since moving here this has been the worst experience with the VA. The only thing this VA is good at is getting people in and out for bloodwork. But other than that just know that if you have any issues that are outside the normal check up they will not be taken care of in a timely manner.

I'm a Viet Nam Combat Vet that chose the LB VA health care system to treat my PTSD , substance abuse, and primary care since 2006. The care and respect that I've been given is second to none. I truly believe this is the best hospital for vets in the country

Do you have mental health issue? Don't expect the Long Beach VA to continue your authorization. There are 2 doctors that will screw you on purpose if you are seeing an outside Care in the Community provider. Dr. Vanessa Hurwitz and Dr. Jared Roush are notorious for denying continuity of care. Ethics in practice is not within their scope. Beware!

Been calling for 2 weeks, after waiting hours on hold a message comes on I will transfer your call, im excited yayyy... next thing i hear is click... it happens every time. Now i remember why I never used VA

These doctors are the best . They are competitive knowledgeable , respectful and take pride in their expertise . I have not had a bad experience here. To date , every timeI visited I have been met with understanding and correct relation . the doctors treat me with compassion and humanity on all the occasions. Everybody been great . How I normally love the Veteran's Hospital. Yet, sadly , my question is what happened to respecting the privacy of all American veterans ? Meaning on the early morning hours of , Nov. 4, 2022. Those employees working in the emergency room at the front desk are now demanding American veterans to write down their entire Social Security Number. This is a violation of the Privacy Act. Plus a violation of the 4th Amendment of the United States Constitution . Their excuse is their computer is down. All the American veteran should be required to give is their last four digits of their Social Security number. Why? Because all American veterans are on file. After my friend asked them to block out his Social Security Number. A nurse yelled out his entire Social Security Number. This seems like a nice complaint for our local Congressmen or state senator. If the Patient Advocate can not help with this constant problem. Next: My friend that is 100 Service Connected was bit on the arm by a mite insect. He was informed by the emergency doctor to use a topical cream . Called : Permethrin. However ; As we know the seriousness of a Mite , bite. This can lead to scabies all over the body. This means the adult mite lays eggs in the human victim. Now the off spring will breed in the human victim. Causing none stop suffering. For the victim. So there are two internal oral medicines highly recommended to kill the new born offspring living in the human victims. ( 1.) Ivermectin . ( 2.) Moxidectin. Note: The male white adult new doctor refused to give the one hundred percent service connected a prescription for any of these proper medications. The American veteran informed the doctor working in the emergency room he saw this on You Tube. The person teaching about this is a Pre-Med student in the specialty of : Dermatology . Sadly the new ignorant doctor working in the emergency room , was heard arrogantly saying; " This guy does not know what he is talking about." Note: This doctor working in the Emergency Room is suppose to offer all American Veterans the best medical medicines and best medical pharmaceutical medicines available . Yet, this doctor is rather trying to impress his supervisors by saving money. Rather then giving a proper prescription medicine to a American veteran that needs only the best. This is so very sad. We have Emergency Room doctors treating American Veterans like this. The You Tube site is : You Tube : How to treat scabies/ scabies treatment at home. Note: If American Veterans could buy their own proper prescriptions for skin problems they would not be forced to speak with a biased , arrogant , ignorant doctor working in the Emergency Room. This incident happened on the early morning hours of Friday , November 4, 2022. This is piss poor disgusting beyond measure. Very bad customer service. Enclosing : All the lame ducks working in the Emergency Room need : Is the last four digits of your Social Security number. This chronic problem with the Lame Ducks working in the Emergency Room need to be reported to the Patient Advocate Office. Plus a few letters to the Department of Veteran's Affairs. Plus a few letters and emails to the Secretary of Defense . Plus a few letters to vital senators and congress men. This may help those working in the Emergency Room get properly written up and terminated . As this is what is the proper thing to do with trash. Throw out the trash. Very simple.

I want to thank all the ER staff for the great work they are doing. I visited the ER this evening and my condition was handled very professional and pleasant. I was in and out within 30 minutes. The doctor on call listened to my concerns and was very helpful. The ER nurse and staff were both very nice and very professional. Thank you once again!! Also the pharmacy department is very diligent and very professional.

Just spoke to a JOHN who works in the vaccine dept HE DIDNT EVEN KNOW IF I WAS DUE TO GET A BOOSTER SHOT. HE WAS WORTHLESS N DIDNT CARE. YET HE ASKED ME MY DOB. NAME. SOCIAL. EYC. WASTE OF TIME.

Emergency hospital was awful. Came in around 10:15 pm and front desk turned away my retired military spouse friend mom’s id and front desk were rude and not helpful at all. I wouldn’t recommend this hospital to anyone, my friends mom could have died if it weren’t for us getting to Long Beach memorial fast enough. Shame on this establishment for not helping out and saying it would cost 10x the amount if they did see her. I would avoid at all costs and boycott if I could
