Veronique Jotterand's Online Review Report Card

I was operated on by Dr Jotterand over 10 years ago, she was very nice , staff was decent if my memory serves me . Fast forward to 2022 , my daughter's pediatrician referred us here . We were able to set appointment no problem, went in met with Dr Patel, who is great ! We were told her glasses would be delivered to the office in a week. The day we came in for the fitting we were told by the young lady ,that with the purchase of the tomato glasses we would be able to receive a one time frame replacement. We were also told that these frames bend and don't break easy well my daughter broke the arm on one side , we were able to glue them back, shortly after she broke the second arm, we glued that together , well you already know where I am going with this. Finally the day came , the glasses broke beyond repair. I have called the office several times no answer, left several , messages, to this day no reply from anyone. My bf was able to get through, he spoke to a lady who said her name is Lena and has worked there for twenty years. Lena was rude, loud and said she's been there twenty years and has never heard of this. If we were given wrong info by another staff member then Ms Lena should have said just that. Rather she decided to be rude. The very same day we called a new optometrist who sees children and had an appointment for us within 24hours. The new optometrist called Dr jotterand's office and spoke to staff who REFUSED to fax her records over to our new optometrist. We have a PPO which allows us to go anywhere, we chose Dr jotterand's office originally from a referral and my past experience being a good one, wow do times change. I agree with other reviews that say we hope Dr Patel and Dr Jotterand see this. Last time I checked businesses STAY in business by word of mouth and the great service they provide. Some of the staff (not all) sure dont care to provide good service. Ive worked in hospitals, convalescent homes, home health etc and this would not be acceptable. Doctors please let your staff know the reason they have a job and have been there for twenty plus years is because of US , the customer. I will not refer this place , to anyone, Doctors are great , staff not so much.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They over book their clients and squeeze everyone into a small waiting room. Don't bother showing up on time because they have you wait literally two hours before they see you. I've come here twice and it's the exact same experience both times. The doctors miss pronounce every child's name so you have three confused parents getting up everytime they call a kid. Steer clear of this place.

One of the office employees was impolite, disrespectful, and lacking in interpersonal skills. Please appoint new personnel that can treat and look after patients. By saying aloud, "Put your mask on," you can take responsibility and cease acting in a superior manner. We don't have any masks, she says; go outside. Was this kind of service? ghetto service bad language. Thank you considering switching providers

I called to make an appointment for my daughter ' eye surgery, no one picked up the phone, I left 3 or 4 messages also no one responded, then I called my daughter heath group to have another doctor, after one week they called me to set up an appointment but I had to cancel this office cause the heath group sent my daughter to another office. The women who work at the front desk are very rude, seems they do not need clients, every time, every days, I make several called but could not talk to them, hope they would call back. Dr. Patel who treated my daughter is very nice, I would he knows what has happened to my daughter when we do not come back to see him. Hopefully, Dr. Jotterand reads all reviews and cleans this messes.

Terrible you can't talk to anyone you have to leave a message and hope they call back which they don't I hate that my daughter's pediatrician even sent us here.... Never again!!!!

I received a bill from this office twice. First was dec 2021. I called to verify why I'm getting a bill. Spoke to LINA from billing department. And right after i told her my concern she started giving me an attitude. She's saying that my son's claim was denied for no coverage. She had me call my insurance and my insurance did a 3 way call and verified with her that my son has a coverage since he was born. And per my insurance they did not submit a claim and how can they get denied if there is no claim on file. She was advice to resubmit it. Then after 2 month i received a same bill from them. Called the office and spoke to the rudest person again in the office name LINA who is responsible for billing. Right after i asked her nicely why am i getting a bill again she again started giving me an attitude and wont even let me talk. She still giving me the same reason that it got denied because my son doesn't have a coverage and then again i tried to remind her that we already did a 3 way call from my insurance way back dec 2021 and she was already notified that my son has a coverage but she still keep saying the same thing. I asked her if she can send me over a copy of denial and she cant even provide any denial letter from my insurance stating no coverage. So i called my insurance again for me to find out that they got denied for NOT FILLING ON A TIMELY MANNER which in that case patient are not responsible for that and they shouldn't go after the patient. Because its their responsibility to submit their claim on time! This LINA doesn't know what shes doing and the rudest person i have encounter in any doctors office. If only Dr. Jotterand and Dr. Patel has a different office i would love to stay because they are so nice. But dealing with that rude LINA is the worst. No costumer service etiquette. And after reading reviews here and from the other websites all the issue are about billing and dealing with billing department and collecting money to patients and same complains that they are so rude and don't know what their doing. I will definitely not going back to this office!

This review is for Dr. Harshad Patel, who also practices at Dr. Jotterand's office. My wife and I took our 8-month old to see Dr. Patel in order to check to see if her eyes were growing crossed. Dr. Patel was so patient with her and us with all the questions we had. He was knowledgeable and willing to answer all of our questions in detail. He has a good bedside manner and I felt at ease talking to him. I highly recommend him, as well as the staff at Dr. Jotterand's office. They were all very nice to me and my family and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. I felt welcome there and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The office was clean and child-friendly. With the current COVID safety protocols in place, the office was only allowing one parent to accompany children with the doctor. It's just a sign of the times and not a reflection on the office itself.

This place gave my father the wrong booster shot for COVID 19. They are mixing the vaccines and telling people it is fine. This goes against current CDC guidance. I would not trust my on going health care to a place like this.

So horrible when they give u an appointment they call u in 2 hrs after and put u in a room for 1 hr more to wait..very disappointed on their service...

I was referred to Dr. Jotterand because of my worsening double vision. The condition is called "Strabismus." She performed eye surgery on me to realign, recenter both my eyes so they could focus together. By that evening, I could see that it worked! This is nothing short of amazing! It is truly a life changing event to be able to see one of everyone and everything! The double vision started to get bad in my 40s and worsen over the years, and now at 64, I feel as though I am seeing the world for the first time! Dr. Jotterand is an extremely skilled surgeon, professional and charming. Her office staff is very efficient and friendly, warm and welcoming. The team at Long Beach Memorial Hospital was also top notch! I would recommend Dr. Jotterand to anybody who has opthamologic issues and definitely if you have strabismus!
