When I came through the ER at Long Beach memorial hospital, Dr Waider came and checked on me every single day! I am most definitely going to see him! He is awesome and I felt so cared for! I appreciate it how he asked me how I felt and then explained to me what was going on with me; just great!

Caring I’ve had Dr. Waider as my cardiologist for over 10yrs. He is always joyful; friendly; and ,without exception, takes the time with me to review; explain; and listen to me about my medical care and needs. He has even taken his after hours time to call me as a follow-up to a visit and prescription use results . He is a perfect patient caring doctor in my opinion, and in my experience of 70+ years and many different doctors.

I've been his patient for 20 years. Doesn't that say it all? He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, answers all questions clearly, takes time with patients, and for a doctor who has been practicing for 55 years, he is remarkably more youthful than doctors many years younger.

He saved my life! When I had 2 normal EKGs after having a 4 day back pain, he promptly recognized the "blockage" signs on a treadmill test which he immediately stopped. I needed immediate stents followed by triple by-pass surgery. Not only is he deservedly highly recommended, he is a very caring person.

Dr. Waider is the best Cardiologist a heart patient could ask for. He is not only a great doctor, he also takes the time to really listen to you and truly cares about you as a person. I would not have any other Cardiologist treat me, unless I was traveling somewhere and even then (if I was conscious) I would request they contact Dr. Waider before any treatment and/or surgery. I also wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone I know in need of a Cardiologist. On a scale of 1 - 10 overall for a Cardiologist, I would easily rate him a 12, because he far exceeds any criteria used to rate doctors and specialists in the medical field.

Dr. Waider performed an angioplasty and installed 3 stents when he detected blockage caused by the junk from decades of cigarette smoking in May 2006. I tried the prescription drug, Chantix to stop smoking but was allergic to the drug. I have managed to reduced the nicotine intake to less than the equivalent of 2 cigarettes a day with eCigarette. Dr. Waider's stents worked very well over the decade. He is also an excellent cardiologist and detected early stage of Type II diabetes, when a Magna Cumme Laude graduate internist failed using the wrong test, fasting glucose. Thanks to him, I have been successfully managing my borderline Diabetes condition without the prescription drug which is harmful to the kidney in the range considered acceptable by the endocrinologists. He is also very knowledgeable in all the cardiac markers, lipids, such as the cholesterol/triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL), prescribing the most effective medication for control the lipids to the desired range. It is rare to find a cardiologist who is also an excellent internist these days.
