List of Yvonne Tyson's Reviews
This morning I called the office and asked if the doc would prescribe an anti biotic knowing I had a sinus infection. They said sure when she arrived at 1pm. 1pm came and went with no response. So I called again and they assured me it would get done. Still no prescription. So I went to their office and they were closed even tho they were supposed to be open till 5. I am soooo disappointed. I live in Long Beach. I called for an appointment and they’re sending me to cudahy…what the hell! Called over an hour ago for an appointment and still no call back. Time for a new doctor!!!
Dr Tyson is very thorough doctor.
I have had a few visits all will Leticia Gonzalez. Very happy with the service, excellent. She answers all questions and listens to my concerns.
DO NOT go to this Doctor. I DO NOT recommend very unprofessional. I’ve had the worst experience ever. Her receptionist Evelyn very rude, incompetent and unprofessional. I literally have waited for a gynecologist referral for a ridiculous amount of time. Over 3 weeks I’m pregnant and don’t have time for lazy incompetent people that don’t do their job. I was also deliberately denied the opportunity to have my gynecologist of choice. This clinic really is ridiculous and a joke. They should not have a license to work at all. I’m very very discontent with this service. Definitely will never go back. I strongly hope they close her down.
All of my visits have been Excellent. I have been a patient for over 25 years.
I became collateral damage for Dr. Tyson’s lack of treatment for osteopenia. My first test read I was onset of osteoporosis. Which if tested correctly would prevent it from getting worse. Dr. Tyson put me on osteoporosis medication and vitamin D. She never told me I needed calcium too ! Her absence in her office has taken its toll on me. Her PA ‘ s don’t really call you back because they don’t get paid fir that. Beware of this playground disguised as a medical office.
I chose Dr Tyson because I wanted someone that related to me. But clearly I had that wrong. First visit I saw a PA that was training another PA both seemed in experienced. After asking me my info They walked out and went home. The front office girl came in 20 min later and dismissed me. DR Tyson doesn't seem to want to practice anymore there's just PA's running her office. The last straw was having the front office girl call me to give me my results and advise me what the PA told her to tell me. I made it clear that's unacceptable and I'm going to be filing a grievance. Instead of the main doctor calling to find out what's going on , they sent me a letter telling me to find a new Dr.
Let me update everyone on this office. I have been a patient with Dr Yvonne Tyson since 2009 and I can truly say that the patient care has gone to the dogs. The front office staff fails to check their messages, return calls or follow up on anything. They will send your rx to an incorrect pharmacy or not send it at all. I recently referred a coworker to Dr Tysons office about 3 weeks ago, she has left a message to be a new patient and has had no return call.My experience with Leticia Gonzalez the Physician Assistant made a huge error with my patient care regarding prescriptions. I could've experienced a traumatic emergency that would not have been good for my child to witness, as I am a single mom and he would not have known how to assist. She then tried to right her wrong by taking my rx from 5mg to 100mg, she gave me medication that one cannot do daily functions while taking it and it did not help my current situation. I called and L/M for another review of the rx and why would I go from 5mg to 100mg. No return call, just another rx order to my pharmacy for the same 100mg she sent prior. This office is very negligent when it comes to patient care.I've requested to speak w Dr Tyson but the front office staff is not allowing it and an appointment can't happen until August. On July 3rd I called the After Hours On Call Physician line for dr tysons office and no one returned my call and today is July 9th. I have contacted my insurance to move away from this office. If Dr Tyson does not want to see or care for her HMO patients then say so or pay attention to what is truly goin on in your office with the physician assistant you are trusting to care for your patients. If you have a patient who has been coming to you for over 12 years, please take the time to hear their concern to correct the situation or learn what can be done better in the future. But to take a blind eye to negligence of your staff that represents your medical office and your brand is ridiculous at the least. I have always had a PPO, but switched to an HMO as she took the insurance, well I see the patient care changed upon the HMO insurance being effective. I hope everyone can understand why one must not consider this office for patient care if you want true empathy care and correct diagnosis with correct prescriptions. On my last post I mentioned the front office lack of efficiency isn't a reflection on the physicians but after my experience on May 27th and July 1st has confirmed that it's the entire office and it seems like Dr Tyson is clueless. I can say one thing, the two front office staff and Gonzalez do a good job at blowing smoke up Dr Tysons butt to cover their tracks, because the Dr Tyson I've know would never allow such unethical inefficient and negligent patient care period.
I have been going to Dr. Tyson's office for over 15 years and have always been so extremely happy and satisfied with the care, empathy and service. This review has no reflection on Dr. Tyson or her Physician Assistants care and empathy for their patients health. However, the service of the front office staff has dramatically declined. The follow up and follow through is by far very inconsistent which affects the patients experience. I recently went in for a follow up with my PA and she had to make changes to some medications. On my visit in April 2021, I explained to the front office staff that the Walgreens pharmacy on hand is no longer valid, and to only move forward w CVS. They assured me they would cancel out the Walgreens from my file. Well in April my rx was sent to Walgreens, then corrected to CVS. On my return visit on May 27th the PA gave a new rx and the front office explained they would send it to the pharmacy. Well it went right over to Walgreens. I called immediately on the same day and L/M stating the rx was sent to an invalid pharmacy for me and to please send to CVS. That was Thursday May 27th, no follow up call on Friday May 28th and no follow up call Tuesday June 1st. So I called the office on June 1st the front office staff explained she would again delete the Walgreens and send my rx to the correct pharmacy as I had now been without medication now for 3 days. I received a text confirmation that my rx was placed and it was Walgreens once again. I call on June 2nd to explain to the front office to please send my rx to the correct pharmacy as now it makes 4 days without medication and this is a high concern for me to not have the new rx. She explained she will delete the Walgreens on file and send in the order to CVS but asks which rx would I need sent over. This is very concerning to me as a patient. If my doctor and PA are very concerned with my status right now and need to switch me over to a new rx immediately but their front office staff cannot be efficient enough to complete the task that shows lack of patient care to me as the patient. Please check voice messages and respond to them or take action on them when it pertains to patients rx as you never know what harm one can cause by not being effective and efficient with a patients request to correct a mistake made by the office. I can accept human errors but when it becomes normalcy and consistent from the staff it's unacceptable. Again, this is not a review on the PA or Dr. Tyson. They are wonderful, caring, knowledgeable and empathetic to their patients.
I blew out my knee and at first she acted lol she cared but really she only give s a fuck about money so because I was poor I was ignored don't go to her she only cares about money

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
