Worst knee surjery ever dr ahn operated on me five times still didnt get it right had to go to another doctor to do another replacement.ahn put wrong size replacement.

I broke my wrist very badly in the summer of 2019. I was referred to Dr. Ahn. He said I needed surgery. I didn’t want to believe it. I got two more opinions saying if I didn’t have surgery I would never be the same. I went back to Dr. Ahn. I’m so glad I did. Surgery was a breeze. Had surgery October 10th. I was making homemade scones and a full blown tea party by the end of November that same year. I was doing detailed hand sewing by January a few months later and regained my strength in my hand by February 2020. Dr. Ahn is a talented surgeon and his dry sense of humor was a plus!

In 2015 Duke Ahn did my total hip replacement. Afterwards, I felt a significant difference in the length of my legs...8mm to be exact. I asked Dr Ahn why my legs were uneven and he verbally berated me, we got into a screaming match, he told me I was crazy and dropped me as a patient that day. Length discrepancy is a risk with hip replacements but the 8mm difference caused a host of serious issues with my back and feet and the implant itself was incredibly painful. 5 years later as of yesterday, I had to have "another" total hip replacement because the cup on the implant that Duke ahn used on me slipped. In addition I have had 2 surgeons tell me he used such a ridiculously large implant that my legs couldn't be evened out with my second replacement w/o buckling my hip. When someone undergoes this surgery there is a "also" a risk of the cup slipping but an 8mm leg difference and a cup that was hanging loose and painful after 5 years aren't evidence of a great track record to me. Ahn was rude and even called my md to announce he was dropping me after I asked about the length discrepancy. I wouldnt recommend this butcher to my worst enemy and I hope this review saves one other person from going thru the painful hell that I did.

Dr. Ahn did both of my carpal tunnel surgeries, one year apart. I had a clean and fast recovery from both. My hands both have good sensing and mobility. If I had do it all over again, I would definitely ask Dr. Ahn to do my surgeries.

Hi, I had hip replacement in 2014. The pain was relentless. Dr Ahn did 101%top of the line surgery on me. The pain I found out later was caused by my arteries were closed like concrete. That is were all the pain came from and is still running ramped. No blood no food to bed muscle, logs. ECT. DR. DUKE AHN ROCK'S. Can't say it any better then that ..

Dr Ahn is great, I have been suffering from De Quervains for over 3 years. I have had 4 Cortisone shots, have worn a brace 24-7 for 3 years. With no light at the end of the pain tunnel, my physician referred me to Dr. Ahn (3rd specialist in 3 years). On my first visit, Steven, opened the door and took my temp & was very welcoming. Dr Anh examined my wrist and sanitized after . I had to have a few X-rays and then we scheduled my surgery. Absolutely, the best experience at Los Alamitos hospital, and my care with Dr.Ahn. I am 12 weeks post surgery and haven't felt this great in years. Thank you Dr Ahn & Steven

The worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. He said my brother needed surgery for a break in is arm to put a plate in. 3 other doctors said all he needed was a cast. I will be filing a complaint about him.

I have had Dr. Duke Ahn treat me for multiple orthopedic conditions including left and rig I t carpal tunnel surgeries. I have the highest confidence in Dr. Ahn. He always answers all of my questions patiently and thoroughly. He offered best options. Here's not one to rush me or the treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Duke Ahn.

I have been getting treatment from Dr. Ahn for my knees for a couple of years. While I am bone on bone with osteoarthritis in my knees, I am not currently interested in getting knee replacement surgery at this time. Dr. Ahn has been treating my knees with Supartz injections and PRP treatments. He is an outstanding doctor and when the time comes that I am ready for knee replacement surgery, I will have him do the surgery. My wife had both of her shoulders repaired by Dr. Ahn. He did an excellent job and she has gotten the use of her shoulders back after suffering from significant pain and limited mobility before the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Ahn.

This is the world's longest-delayed review. I shattered my elbow in 2005 -- bike accident. Dr. Ahn put it all back together, on an emergency basis, with a lot of hardware. A few years later, he removed much of the hardware. After undergoing the physical therapy that he prescribed, I eventually got back to biking, surfing, and other physically demanding activities, with full use of my arm. It took a while, but it was pain free in a year or so.Just to prove that this is not a fake review, I agree with some of the other reviewers that he is not a warm and fuzzy person. After the surgery, he told me bluntly that it would be months until I could surf again. He was right, of course, but it was hard to hear the unvarnished truth. By making sure that my recovery was slow and steady, he prevented me from re-injuring myself before the bones had fully healed.I am very grateful that such a skilled and brilliant surgeon was available on such short notice.
