My dermatologist retired so I was looking forward to finding someone closer to home. The office staff was not very friendly which should have been my first indication something was not right. They only cared about my insurance. Once I made an appointment they stressed to me how I needed to be prepared to pay for my copay. Once I arrived I was told that the doctor is not in and I would be seeing the physicians assistant. I received multiple texts and emails reminding me of my visit with the doctor. Not once was I told she would not be there. They also do not validate parking. Not a place I would ever return to. Very poor customer service.
I was seen on time. Dr. Yoo and her PA spent reasonable time with me. I’m happy with the result of the procedure that done on my face.
The front office insisted on me paying for my co-pay before seeing Dr. Yoo, which was a big surprised to me. Never ever have I been made to do this before seeing the doctor and getting any treatment. When I finally saw Dr. Yoo for my hypertrophic scar, she insisted that I get a biopsy / incision to remove my scar when all I wanted was a cortisone shot. I left the office unsatisfied.

I'm a skincare girl. My skin is very important to me. I was referred here by my primary doctor. I have to say that I was comfortable with the covid precautions in place. I did have to fill out alot of what I considered to be unnecessary questions in the initial paperwork. First thing I was bothered by was that in the lobby I could hear the entire conversation of the patient before me that was already in a waiting room. A big privacy violation. Also, the co-pay was ridiculous. I paid $96. Mind you, I have a pricy PPO. Apparently, you can't qualify for deductibles until 3 visit. That's 300 dollars, no thank you. I'm all for supporting the hard work of doctors, but this doctors accomplishments are posted all over the walls, tbh kinda a turn off. When I went into the office they made me take a picture for patient verification, which I guess is ok. The office appeared to be clean, once again I'll give them that. There were two student assistants that were helping. I wasn't notifed of this. I saw the students and a NP before the doctors. I kept having to repeat my concerns. I was prescribed 2 medications, both very expensive even with my insurance. This doctors must be an affiliate with a pharmacy because I was told if I went to a pharmacy im Rancho, I could get the pharmacy jalf the price. Seemed very shady, but it was far too inconvenient for me to even give it a shot. Long story short, the care I got could have been googled for 90 bucks less. She didn't seem familiar of dealing with skin of color. I am currently looking for a new dermatologist. I would not refer anyone to her.

Just left the office. The office staff member at the desk, who I assume is the office manager required a hard copy of my driver's license in their computer system. Doctors offices and hospitals are notorious for getting hacked, and I never allow them to make copies of my license. This is the only office I've ever been to that required it. Her reason was, "its like a bank." Oh jeez. Its not a bank. A driver's license is to drive a car, not see a doctor. She was very nice, but very ignorant.

I will never return to Dr. Yoo's office! When I visit a doctor's office I expect to see the doctor long enough to ask questions. Not so with Dr. Yoo. I spent more time with the PA and assistant than the doc. The PA/nurse did the usual things they do, looked at the areas of concern, documented info into the computer and left. Doc had a conversation in the hallway with the PA, came in, looked at the problem areas, took biopsies, then...gone. Good bedside manners? Not so much. Very, very little time was allowed for discussion regarding the problem. It seems as though the doc runs her practice like an assembly line, "shove 'em in and push 'em out". The office is cold and uninviting in appearance (looks like they just moved in a week before but not so). Each time I've called the office I've found the staff answering the phone to be condescending and indifferent. I have made a complaint with my insurance provider. In the future, I will refuse and appeal if necessary, a referral to Dr. Yoo's office.

Dr Yoo's office has an extremely sterile feeling. No warmth on wal. Feels it was thrown together as an after thought! Gray walls, no art. Just to matter of fact and most unfriendly staff. Had to introduce my self to them. No manners. Sterile feelings in rooms . Dr Yoo is kind enough, but no warm fuzzies

Dr. Yoo needs to go back to medical school to take the course of " the art of listening " . It would be beneficial for herself , especially for her patients that she would have the education and training to treat Topical Steroid Withdrawal.I was referred to her by my primary care doctor . During my first visit with her , I brought all my past steroid cream and eye drops prescribed by other doctors . I made it extremely clear to her that it seemed all the steroid cream and eye drops made my symptoms worse. But she and her PA would not listen , she insisted I had contact dermatitis and prescribed me one more steroid cream ( saying this steroid cream was without ingredients that would cause allergic reaction)I was skeptical , but I have been very miserable so I decided to trust her advice . I was at the beginning Phase of the flare up that was caused by long term use of Steroid . The correct diagnosis should have been steroid addiction or TSW and not contact dermatitis. The proper treatment was to stop all steroid immediately and not to mistakenly prescribed another Steroid cream to a patient who had told Dr. Yoo that I had suffered a very long time by all the steroid prescribed by different doctors. Unfortunately , after using the steroid cream prescribed by Dr Yoo , my condition became full blown. I decided to stop all the steroid cream and sought after natural remedy and acupuncture . It was not until after I found Dr . Mervin Rapport in Beverly Hills than I was told I had had TSW .It was the best thing I did when I decided to stop all the steroid cream prescribed by the doctors .I will never go back to Dr Yoo and will advise all the patients to be very careful to seek service from a doctor like Dr Yoo who did not listen to the patient's input or feed back but stubbornly set the diagnosis on her very narrow mind set . It will be good for Dr Yoo to get more education about TSW herself so her treatment would not victimize her suffering patients even further !

I have been going to Dr. Yoo for over five years now and trust her implicitly with her skills and recommendations. She is especially expert at surgery. I was referred by my general practitioner because I had some skin cancer from over exposure to sun (I'm a surfer). She removed that cleanly and suggested I return for biyearly checkups. There have been several more skin issues that have arisen and just recently another removal and biopsy was needed. Dr. Yoo and her team were very pleasant, efficient, and professional. I really appreciated that she was very transparent with what she was doing throughout the process (it helped alleviate any anxiety I had). She also has a good sense of humor and a positive attitude on everything which lends itself to a good atmosphere. She recently enlarged and remodeled her office and increased her staff. I've been very impressed with the modernity and efficiency that came with it. The office was good when I first started visiting her, but now it has become top notch! I strongly recommend making Dr. Yoo your dermatologist.

My health has been jeopardized by Yoo's misdiagnoses and arrogant ignorant righteousness, as well as the wrong meds that have exacerbated my problem into mal-practice territory. i hope i can recover due to this. In the meantime she just bought herself a mal-practice lawsuit.
