List of James R. Licht, Md's Reviews
I've been going to Dr. Licht for around 10 years. He's always been pleasant. My previous cardiologist didn't communicate at all but Dr. Licht gave me good advice on my options on dealing with my arrhythmia. He explained that I could take drugs to stop the arrhythmia, or take others that would control it, and both approaches had comparable survival rates. Since the drugs that stopped the arrhythmia had potentially very serious side effects, I decide to go with the ones that just kept it under control. That's been working well for me. I tried a different cardiologist for a while, who put me on a newer medication that was supposedly better but it didn't work at all for me. So I came back to Dr. Licht. His office staff are all very nice too.
This stupid doctor actually told me to not ask him any questions. He also added, well, I hope you don't sue me. The worst.
Dr, James Licht had been my father"s cardiologist after being placed on cumaden, warfin (rat poisoning), blood thinner in which he had to get regular protime tests to measure blood thickness. He bled easily and did not like the idea of taking rat poison. Dr. Licht said he can accommodate my father my placing him on a drug called amarodione to control heart rhythms. What the doctor failed to tell my father was that the drug was a black box drug -- which meant highly deadly. The drug gave my father two years of life and then caused his lung tissue to retain water. He thus died of suffocation -- congested heart failure (CHF).

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
