Altamed General Pediatrics At Children's Hospital's Online Review Report Card

Hold time was 58 minutes to schedule an appointment today at AltaMed General Pediatric clinic today. I thought this problem was fixed few years ago when hold time could be indefinite. For last few years hold time was 56 minutes max. Today hold time was back  to 58 minutes. Not acceptable.

I came to this facility as a child and back then the nurses were lovely welltrained and just top notch quality care. Now when I take my son I cant help but to get upset about how dirty and unsanitary they are. Not to mention the nurse we had had to poke his finger three times because she couldnt get it right. NOT WELLTRAINED. Not to mention that I spoke with another doctor about the nurses practice and he said the nurse should never squeeze out any blood that is not safe not accurate practice. I am not looking for any drama but the way the nurses and receptionist talk back when I get a bit confused is absolutely degrading. The doctors are so pleasant and professional but the nurses arent even a close match. I really dont know why they have that recognition for NURSES BADGE on the front of the hospital. They are a true joke. Even the LONG WAIT TIME for the calls I can bare but the operators who pick up the calls are a NEGATIVE ZERO if they were ranked. They give me an attitude and Im a first time mom. I dont need this kind of talk and its definitely not professional and makes me think this facility is one big UNSANITARY UNRELIABLE RUDE and A BIG LET DOWN in the name of the Childrens Hospital. Me encanta esta clínica mis hijos ya tiene más de 13 años en esta clínica y lo que me gusta mas que todos los especialistas que nesesita mi hijo están en el mismo lugar lastima que el doctor que tenía ya no esta pero los demás doctores son buenisimos.

I have been coming here since 2010. My son was born with trisomy 21 aka Down Syndrome. I have four kids and I know it has change over the years specially with Covid19 it’s more strict.Suggestion 1My suggestions to all parents is to chose the right doctor for you and your family.I had a great doctor for years until she moved away from California. Then I had another doctor and was not happy at all she was too quick and was unable to answer most of my question. Since I have rights I decided to change with a new doctor and she is much better and a better fit for my family. Work with your doctor they will work with you.Suggestion 2Be patience and see what is more convenient for your kidsOne thing I enjoyed over the years is that I have everything services in one place. And one file for all my kids. versus going to another clinic and drive around like crazy to other providers and wasting gas and I avoid my kids having different files in different facilities.The one thing I hate is waiting on the phone line to make an appointment.Suggestion 3My suggestion is to keep up with you kids appointment times and schedule and always ask the staff why is it taking so long?These things has helped me over the years hope this helps and good luck.

HORRIBLE phone system I do not recommend at all I tried to get my kids tested for covid and the doctor denied services I will be changing clinic ASAP one more thing all the doctors insist on doing a genital exam at any age and if you say no they look at you as a bad parent they are general doctors not speacialist and I would understand if there is a problem in that area but they just want to do it rutenely CRAZYYYY NO i would not allowed this for either my 10 year old or my 17 year NO If you have more than 2 kids forget them being able to be seeing by a doctor on the same day they have a no more than 2 siblings can be seing on the same day policy

Staff is efficient doctors are knowledgeable nurses are friendly and nice. Yes you have to wait and Yes its not a state of the art fancy clinic but our doctor is worth it I drive 40 min every time and dont mind it I have been coming here for 8 years now and have nothing but Positive experiences.

Wonderful staff working here all all very polite and they help you. I’m new to this place and my kids really enjoy it here. They have the best team of doctors nurses working here. They really give the best attention and service provided to your kids.

I’ve brought my 3 year old here for the past two years. Every doctor my son has seen has been amazing. They really care they’re patient they explain things so you can understand and they are great with kids. You can tell they love what they do and they’re good at it.

Worst experience ever Our visit took 3 hours My boys were so restless. I asked an MA if this waiting time was usual and they advised its worst in the morning. This was my first and last time I attend this office.
