Dr. Bamshad was more concerned with who referenced me to his office than my medical issue. Once we finally got past the reference thing he said he wanted to do some blood work and get me an MRI. I tried calling his office back multiple times after this to get an update on the MRI, I never received a response.

I just got home from my first with Dr. Bamshad. He is the best. He explains everything and is very thorough. He has a wonderful staff.

I think Dr. Bamshad is one of the best doctors. He explainseverything well so you know exactly the results good or bad.He is very thorough and provides all the tests you need toproperly evaluate your condition. His staff is very friendly andmakes you feel confortable. I know I am in the best of hands.He does not rush you. I told him I was looking for a primarycare doctor and the next day I got a telepone call from aprimary care doctor and set up an appointment.

***Update 5/16/2021***Had Dr Bad done his job, I wouldn't of had to suffer like I have for the past 15 months with testing, painful exams & procedures, infections, surgery, and still recovering. Thankfully, I never returned to Dr Bad and listened to that little voice inside my head & bladder and sought other Doctors. I had a serious problem & condition but all Dr Bad did was nothing but try to prescribe heavy narcotics, opposed to conducting a more thorough examination like my other urologists did. The first urologist I saw (virtually mind you) couldn't understand why Dr Bad DID NOT check my bladder CC volume on the day of my appointment and why he DID NOT order an ultrasound scan of my bladder on the day of my appointment. Had he DONE THAT, my condition would of been revealed 15mo ago. Instead, Dr Bad tried to peddle drugs and send me on my way, and told to come back in 4 months if the problem doesn't get better. At the time of my appointment I already had this serious condition that I eventually found out requires surgery! But Dr Bad didn't care. He did not listen. He was more than Bad - he was awful! Had he done what all 3 of the other urologists who've been treating me have done, I wouldn't had spent the past year+ dealing with all this & still recovering. AND had Dr Bad done his job, I would not of wasted over a year of my life and would of been better & recovered from this several months ago and not living in pain & distress for so long! Of course I filed a complaint with Cedars Sinai about Dr Bad long ago. But I've refrained from updating this review until now because I'm very private when it comes to personal matters & health and I don't like to live in the past - who needs the stress. But thankfully Cedars Sinai has other wonderful Dr's like Dr Brian Benway & Dr Jennifer Anger and Dr Amid Gupta. Dr Benway suggested & ordered the tests for me that Dr Bad never did. Dr Benway was a virtual appointment without even being able to examine me!. Dr Benway "listened" to me carefully and said "I think I know what the problem is & what's wrong with you." Then after my ultrasound results proved Dr Benway's theory, he referred me to Dr Jennifer Anger (who's very friendly :) for additional exams & testing and she recently performed my surgery. Do yourself a favor and avoid Dr Bad at all costs and go see Dr Benway & Dr Anger, who will listen and treat you with kindness & respect and they know how to do their jobs because they're amazing, fantastic and caring Doctors. ----------------------*June 3, 2020****MY RESPONSE TO Parisa:***Thank you for taking the time and a whopping 3 months since my visit, to address my issue, by listing Dr Bad's resume & LinkedIn profile. However nothing in your response clarifies nor addresses my horrible experience with him other than you trying to defend him for things you don't know other than listing his credentials, and making excuses. You were not there during my visit and did it ever occur to you that perhaps you lack the understanding that Dr Bad Bedside Manner & Dr Feel Bad was simply having a bad day? And if he's such a wonderful, experienced Dr, then you both should be embarrassed for how he treated me that day. And btw, I have seen 20 different Dr's within the CSHA network, and your Dr is the only one who doesn't allow patients records available to view via the Ceders Sinai Patient Portal. So not only was he awful the day of my office visit, your office lacks the technical aspects that all other 20 Dr's I've seen and their offices provide. In addition, did you know that Ceders Sinai encourages their patients & Dr'a to utilize their Patient Portal? And lastly, my negative review & experience didn't just fall from the sky because there's others here who feel the same as me. Thanks again, and thank you for your service

I learned about dr. B Bamshad through our persian radio station 670 am KIRN ,.He sounded as he knew what he is talking so I made an appointment . When I met him without consulting with me about his plan of treatment for my prostate , he immediately used an instrument which I did not get slightest benefit from it but he had rushed a bill for thousands of dollars for my insurance company !!!!!Then he prescribed a medicine which I took for whole month without any benefit and when I complained his response was : KEEP IT TAKING !!!! I can not believe how he has gotten an MD . degree ??THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE GIVING HIM 5 STARS MUST BE HIS FRIENDS !!

My husband needed urgent surgery and Dr Bamshad explained everything thoroughly and was able to perform a very successful surgery. He’s very capable and knowledgeable. His staff is very good and well-mannered. I would definitely recommend him!
