Dr and that should not be applied in this case of “palliative care at St Johns Hospital in Santa Monica Saw my husband when he was close to death on a Saturday. He came in when his pain medication had finally gotten stabilized, spoke to my husband and came out to me.He said he wanted to go home. I said it was Saturday and it takes at least 2 days to set up and that I did not want him to be moved as he was calm. He said to me”you have money don’t you” and asked how long we had been married?” Even now over 3 years later the indignity stings. He kept insisting my husband said he wanted to go home. I called the rest of the family and insisted he call my husbands Dr.. The family agreed he could not be moved on short notice. He called the Dr. who he spoke to and I also spoke and his Dr said he would be by Monday to evaluate. This was Christmas weekend Dec26, my husband died early a.m.the next morning.
