List of Brian Lee's Reviews
In July 2022, I had a distal clavicle fracture due to a bicycle crash. I went to an orthopedic center in my city, but was told that the fracture could not be repaired, and that I may have to live with pain. I am a very active 67 year old; bicycling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking etc., so no repair was not an acceptable option, My physical therapist suggested I contacted the Kerlan Jobe Institute where I was directed to an appointment with Dr. Lee. I saw him 3 months after the fracture occurred. At that first appointment I was reassured immediately by his bedside manner, confidence, and honesty. He told me the surgery would not be easy, but he felt it could be done. In December 2022, I had the surgery, and it was a success. I have now "graduated" from physical therapy and am able to return to my activities without restriction! Kerlan Jobe is about 2 hours from my home, but the outcome was well worth the drive. Everyone I dealt with at Kerlan Jobe during the entire process, including during the actual surgery were kind, supportive, and competent. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lee and his entire staff for your orthopedic needs.
Dr. Lee is fantastic! I saw him after I broke my collarbone. He's kind and I feel that he definitely took into consideration whether I needed surgery or not. After 3 months of physical therapy, I'm back to my normal routine. Very happy that I did not need to have surgery! Great doctor!!
I went to go see Dr.Lee after I tore my left labrum. Turns out not only did I have a torn labrum but a cyst had formed and cut off some nerves in my arm limiting my pain and mobility. Dr. Lee determined I needed surgery, my procedure was scheduled right away and the surgery was performed a few weeks after. Him and his team were amazing, my surgery was a total success. During my surgery they kept my wife updated on how it was going and she had nothing but good things to say after it was all done. The post surgery treatment to no surprise was just as good. That night Dr. Lee called me to make sure I was compliant with my meds and to make sure I was ok. He followed up me a week after the surgery then every 6 weeks until I returned to work. He gave me as much PT as he thought I needed and when it was done asked if I had wished for more. He also recommended a good PT place since I was unfamiliar with where to go. It is now 6 months post-surgery, I have full mobility and no pain. I would absolutely go back to Dr Lee. I have already recommended him to coworkers dealing with injuries. 10/10
I've been an active person my whole life, from weightlifting to wrestling to boxing. So when I tore my rotator cuff, I was devastated. This affected not only my personal, but professional life too, since keeping fit kept me mentally sharp. I tried physical therapy, but it didn't help. Dr. Brian Lee (simply the best) thoroughly informed me of my options and I chose surgery. I have to admit that the first 90 days after surgery were the worst, because I couldn't move my shoulder - for a minute I even regretted getting the surgery. However, after a strict rehab program and doing all the exercises and once Dr. Lee lifted all restrictions, I couldn't be happier! I'm 54 and when I first met with Dr. Lee, I couldn't bench press the bar without excruciating pain. Six months after surgery I bench 250 for sets of 6 reps and going up! So, If you're in pain, don't wait to see Dr. Lee. Him and his entire staff are world class. I would've given 6 stars if it gave me that option!
I saw Dr. Brian Lee in July 2022 for my left proximal humerus fracture. We discussed the treatment options and chose the non-surgical treatment with sling immobilization and physical therapy with Dr. Lee’s guidance. Seven months later my shoulder is stronger and my range of motion is almost back to 100%. I truly appreciate Dr. Lee’s knowledge, professionalism, patience, and kindness.
I was recommended to Dr. Lee by another Dr. at K&J. I had severe pain in my elbow/forearm that Dr. Lee took care of with an arthroscopic surgery. Like he said, I was back to normal about 2 months later. I was also dealing with a shoulder rotator cuff pain. After exhausting all non-surgical means (steroids, PT, PRP), last resort was arthroscopic surgery. MRI did not show but Dr. Lee anticipated a possible tear in the bicep and received prior authorization from the insurance. Long behold, during the surgery he found the torn bicep ligament and fixed the rotator cuff. It's been two months and strengthening my shoulder from the surgery. No more pain but still too weak to resume work. All anticipated by Dr. Lee. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Brian Lee that he knew what he was doing and was spot on my treatment and handling the surgery and recovery. I have visited his offices at Los Angeles, Anaheim and Pasadena, and he and his staff were always very caring and cordial.
I cannot express my gratitude enough for Dr Lee. he has gone beyond any lengths for me to have functioning shoulders again. He had to replace both of my shoulders with extensive revisions due to complications from previous breast cancer and radiation treatments. He had to modify, make special instruments so I can regain function in both surgeries, This was a process of almost 2 years, he help me keep faith while I was screaming in tears of pain. The office staff was also wonderful, from scheduling all the way to the x-ray tech. Everybody was very nice, All I can say is thank you and I will always be grateful. I currently just had the second shoulder done. Even though I’m in a lot of pain I feel so much hope and healing within me now.
I am a retired Firefighter after 42 years of service. I am also an age group champion (60+) 4-wall handball player, which requires top players to be ambidextrous. After years of pain, Dr. Lee rebuilt my shoulder better than new. His confident bedside manner and detailed explanation of the problem and corrective procedure were outstanding. I highly recommend him for anyone experiencing shoulder problems! I was back on the court after 6 months, and 1 year post surgery I am back in top form!
Dr Lee did an amazing job repairing my shoulder. He was professional and communicative throughout the entire process.
Dr. Brian Lee is an excellent shoulder Physician at Kerlan Jobe now Cedar Sinai. He treated me for a broken shoulder about 1.5 years ago and just recently a bicep issue. He is bright, clear spoken and shows his caring of all his patients. I felt he genuinely cared about my concerns and pain. The best recommendation is that I will return to Dr. Lee for any further shoulder issues.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
