We are so happy to have found Coast Family Psychological Services. Dr. Dana has been *phenomenal* at helping our daughter deal with anxiety, learn strategies for countering bullying, and find methods to manage and process strong emotions. The two of them have established a trust relationship, and unlike previous therapists we've tried to work with, our kiddo is no longer dreading her sessions, asking if she can be done early, or begging to skip this week. In this post-pandemic world, we've found It's exceptionally hard to find any child therapist that is taking new patients -- we searched for multiple months before finding Dr. Dana, and are so glad we did. To be clear, the cost is very high, much more than we would have expected, but we're so thankful to have found somebody as skillful as Dr. Dana that also had availability to start working with us right away, we are able to justify the expense. She does offer some sliding-scale availability for lower income families, but I understand those slots are all filled. We're happy to have any slot at all, she's been able to make a genuine connection with our child, even though they're meeting over Zoom, and we can see the progress they're making together. Helping set expectations: the only other down side (besides the high cost), is that sometimes our Zoom sessions start 3 or 4 minutes late, but we always get a full hour of her time, and even more, she is generous with offering availability to meet with mom and dad when we have questions or a crisis. All that to say, if you can afford it, I highly recommend working with Dr. Dana at Coast Family Psychological Services.

Dr. Holiday is an expert trained psychologist. She specializes in working with clients with cognitive decline due to age or injury (ie. alzheimer's, dementia, stroke etc). She provides care not only to the clients, but also to their caregivers through a combination of therapy & psychoeducation. I would highly recommend her services to those struggling with neuro issues.
