Amazing staff and Dr. Sofen I would highly recommend for anyone. He spent the time explaining everything thoroughly.

I was seen by Dr Sofen today for an examination. His staff were very friendly and helpful. His office was very clean and welcoming. Dr Sofen is a very friendly and professional man. He explained everything to me I needed to know. I had a great experience with him and his staff. I recommend him to anyone who needs a great dermatologist.

The check-in is straight forward and the staff are very friendly. The PA that I first met was attentive and listened….that’s refreshing! Dr. Sofen is just awesome: knowledgeable, pleasant and explains things quite well. Consider this team for any dermatological concerns you have.

Dr. Sofen and his staff are superlative. Via my mistake, I arrived three hours early to my appointment. His staff was accommodating and gracious, to a person. Dr. Sofen was benevolent and wise. He took the time to explain a relatively complex process, and made it understandable to me. I would highly recommend him to my family.

I am very disappointed in this office and the dismissive attitude from the nurse practitioner who I did not make an appointment with. I did not find her to be knowledgeable on my issues and just repeated what my primary care doctor had already done. She told me the doctor would come in and take a look at my scalp for some issues as she needed Dr Sofen opinion. When she returned and tried to gloss over not returning with the doctor, I asked why? Instead of providing the service to address my issues and reasons for the visit to “specialists” and she was like it’s ok and I could not see the doctor I actually had the appointment with. I understand that I currently do not-have a pop plan but you will still get paid for my visit so why not offer the medical attention I needed and came in for? I was offered no real help or solutions. I could have done better just googling. This was not a feel good nor easy experience.

Dr. Sofen was so down to earth and pleasant.He explained things to me in layman’s terms so I was able to clearly understand instead of him using ‘Dr. speak’ and not understanding what he was acting, as some Dr’s do. Thank you, Dr. Sofen!

So I just left Dr. Sofen’s office and felt the need to share my experience. In a day and time where a patients experience in a Doctors office, due largely to the massive amount of patients in the Los Angeles area, often times have you feel like a meaningless number, in what seems to be a rubber stamping of medical attention? The opposite is what I just experienced at the hands of the entire Medical Staff at Dr.Sofen’s Office. The care and amount of information specific to my visit that I came away with, made this experience stand out! I will recommend them to anyone in need of any level of care regarding any skin issues or attention needed. As a US Marine and 25 year Police Officer who has spent my entire adult, working life in the outdoors, I like many have not treated my skin as well as I should have. Now needing medical attention to my issues, I am extremely grateful that I ended up with Dr. Sofen’s and his Team! So thank you to them….And if you’re in need of a Dermatologist?
