This was my first visit to a dermatologist in years, and it'll be my last time at this location. I came in with 5-6 specific concerns, including spots that had changed on my face and neck. The assistant who brought me into the room didn't even say hello, and when I began explaining my concerns, she told me I could only ask two questions--the rest would have to wait for a future appointment. So I picked my top two: 1. Freezing off a wart on my finger (which I've tried to do at home with no success), and 2. Looking at a scar on my face that's been there since I was a teenager. The PA who saw me, Julia Berman, barely froze the wart--she applied the nitrogen for maybe a second, then told me to keep trying at home. That's literally why I came to a derm in the first place. I freeze them off only for them to come back every time. I literally told her this multiple times and she said to just keep trying. As for the scar, she misdiagnosed it as acne and prescribed me a topical cream for breakouts. It's not acne--it has no head, no irritation. It's a flat red spot I've had for over 10 years that has recently changed shape. The whole appointment lasted under 20 minutes. I left feeling completely dismissed. Terrible bedside manner. No real explanations. An absolute waste of time. I've never been more angry at an experience with a medical professional.
Do not use them. There is no way to get in contact with this office. There is no one answering phones and the website doesn't work on any browser. Meanwhile, you get bombarded with spam and erroneous bills auto generated from their office. The harassment never ends. They were paid in full years ago. Don't put yourself through this.
Worst phone system ever. Tried calling the office to discuss bill I am receiving from collections 3 years later. Not sure for what. The lady time I was there the doctor could not really help me and the meds she prescribed, the office forgot to call in at my pharmacy so I went a whole weekend with hives and no meds. Three years later I get a call from collections agency and they reached me within the first call. But in the last three years, the office never reached out to me in regards to this bill. No call, no letters, no email. Today they don't even answer so I can discuss the balance.
I am so happy with my skin improvements ! Every time I leave here, I feel so confident and happy about my experience here at Dr.laser in West Hollywood. Nurse Lucine is so friendly and attentive to my sensitive needs and the Cutie Pie receptionist Tiffany is so helpful highly recommend this place… I am very happy with my experience.
I had a lot of difficulty booking an appointment (by phone and the online website system), but once I met with the team for my check up, they were very friendly and professional. Thank you.
Had a small mole removed from my face and was told it would be flat and hardly noticeable after. It's been months now and it's SO much worse. It's bright red and raised. Completely messing with my confidence because it's on my face, so bummed out about this one. I am going to have to pay for multiple treatments to now attempt to fix it but still may not be fixable. Be very careful letting these dermatologists near your face.
Great service , Julia is the best , so thorough and great follow up . Highly recommend .
Followed Jinli here from her last employer and was so impressed with the office and of course her work as always. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for cosmetic pick me ups and skincare. She really knows her stuff and has a unique background with experience in facial surgery as well as now in dermatology. She never tries to upsell you but you find yourself just wanting to consider more because she is so honest and will tell you what you don't need and what she has tried and found effective. I had a carbon laser for the first time and told her that I would have never done it if it wasn't her because the popping feeling and sound ( didn't hurt was just surprising ) was a bit shocking at first but bc i trusted her and she told me what to expect I felt assured. I'm already in love w my results! I flew all the way in from New York just to see her and don't regret it! It's your face after all!
This place is like most dermatology/med spas out there. They're only interested in selling their latest laser treatment. Do yourself a favor. Go to Amazon or whereever and buy a device that you can use on your own for red light therapy or Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT) as these devices can save you a lot of money. The thing is, these doctors probably know about PDT but they won't recommend this cost saving measure for obvious reasons. For me, after spending several thousand dollars here, there was no good result and they treated me like a walking ATM with no discussion about treatment or anything remotely close to medical advice. Thank goodness for PDT and red light!
I've visited Metropolis LA 2x, and during my second visit yesterday, I had a large inflamed cyst on my right cheek for which I was hoping to get an excision. PA-C Julia recommended draining it first due to the inflammation and then reassessing for surgery later. She did an incredible job draining it, and the size has significantly reduced. She made every effort to extract as much pus as possible! I hope it flattens out soon as I continue taking the Doxycycline she prescribed, or that the surgery goes as smoothly as the drainage did. Thank you PA-C Julia Berman!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
