I went to this clinic after having an unfortunate interaction with planned parenthood, where I felt such a lack of empathy and kindness that prompted me to cancel my appointment with them. I found FPA and went to two separate locations where I had incredible experiences at both. The first location was in east LA where I got all of my intake done, but due to a rescheduling I was sent over to Koreatown location a couple weeks later. I went to receive a procedure that required me to go under anesthesia and I was incredibly nervous and in desperate need of emotional sensitivity and empathetic kindness, which is exactly what I received here. I had the most positive experience with a situation that felt incredibly daunting and heartbreaking. I received care from such incredible women who made me feel the safest I’ve ever felt in a medical setting. Dr. Stewart, Tauri, Elsa, Rose, and Virgine. I will always remember these women for taking care of me. Their kindness made such a huge difference in the aftermath of the procedure and I feel that my healing process will be easier because of them 💖 I will absolutely be recommending this clinic and coming back if I ever need.

I had a horrific experience here. From the front desk staff, to the doctor and billing department, it was all terrible and unprofessional. They billed my insurance for services (which were paid) then months later sent me to collections for an unpaid bill. I have receipts of my copay plus the EOB but their accounting dept. refused to help. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I've been dealing with a missed miscarriage since I was about 8 weeks pregnant, I would be a little over 19 now and my body just wasn't doing what it was supposed to. My doctor mislead me telling me I could take the pill at any point and continued having me come in for ultrasounds (of the empty sac) and bloodwork to watch my HCG drop. On this last appointment 2 weeks ago I expressed that I didn't want to keep waiting for nothing to happen. She told me to call FPA and get the pill. When I went in last week to the FPA near me in San Bernardino they pressured me to have the surgery the next day (I wouldn't have a ride) and told me they could not do the surgery at all past that date so it was then or not at all. I called a few places in my area and it was so difficult to get anyone willing to do the surgery regardless of there being no baby. I decided to call this location and they were able to get me in yesterday and surgery today. The place and the people made me feel so much more comfortable than that other location. I was very scared, my anxiety was high, and I was so so emotional. But everyone, from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out, was so kind, patient, and understanding. This whole experience overall has been extremely rough on me mentally, emotionally, and physically, and I'm glad that it is finally over and I can begin to really heal. Thank you guys so much for making me feel comfortable and safe in a very uncomfortable and scary time. I appreciate the care you guys have for your patients. Also little funny note I've only ever been under anesthesia one time and I was like 3/4 so I don't remember it at all, this time I just remember asking if it was normal to feel fuzzy in your head or something like that and next thing I knew I was waking up in the aftercare room lol. But overall it was such a quick and easy procedure and although I'm having some cramping I feel way better than I thought I would. So if anyone is worried (as I was) about having a d&c I hope that can ease your mind a little bit.
