Isaac Hakim's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Hakim is a master of Orthodontics. He is light years ahead of most of his peers. His deep knowledge and skill, and care that he has given to my family over the years is stellar and unsurpassed. We are so fortunate and thankful  to have found him. Dr. and Captain Hakim and his Orthospaceship themed office and prize incentive program never ceases to amaze us!!Thank you and your expert staff so much for all your dedication, expertise  and boundless dedication to our family!!

This has been a long time coming, I got my braces off a little bit ago with Dr Hakim after an entire journey for my jaw surgery. If youre looking for THE BEST then this is definitely the place! Scale 15, 5 being the best:Ease of getting and appointment 5 The front desk is awesome! There was always flexibility in appointment times to accommodate my schedule. Customer Service 5I felt so cared for every step of the way  from appointments, phone calls, office visits.  Every person cares and take time to explain the process from procedures to billing. Going through the grueling process of jaw surgery is extremely daunting and Dr Hakims office made the whole process as enjoyable as possible! (not an easy task!!) Technology 5Dr Hakim has a CBCT (3D xray) and he didnt just look at my teeth he looked at literally EVERYTHING!! My jaw joints, my airway... seriously everything! They were able to explain their findings objectively and in a way that I could easily see and understand. I really felt like I was in the best hands Cleanliness and sanitation 5Everything is pristine and clean. Visited during COVID for a retainer check and there were air filters, sanitizer everywhere and you can see the extensive sanitation precautions that everyone is taking Care 5 They really take the time to get to know you, explain everything you need to know to make an informed decision and do their best to accommodate any requests!  I am beyond grateful! I can breathe better, sleep better, smile better, chew better my life has drastically improved and I have Dr. Hakim and his wonderful staff to thank for this. Cannot thank them enough and could not recommend this place enough!

The SECOND ATTEMPT! They succeeded at getting Yelp to delete my original review! SUCH A SHAME! I had a bad experience with Dr. Hakims office. I can not say anything about the doctors services because I havent gotten any kind of treatment provided by him, but since he hired and keeps his unprofessional staff I doubt his professionalism.My dentist referred me to Dr. Hakim for mouth evaluation. I needed to fix my bite and to straighten my teeth. I sent to Dr. Hakims office an email saying that I wanted to book an appointment. I hadnt had any response from them and decided to call.On the 1st of September I called Dr. Hakims office. The receptionist was quite aloof and I was put on hold twice. And then she asked me tons of questions and eventually booked an appointment for me. And she said that they already got my dentists note and since I was referred by another doctor my consultation would be for free.On the 8th of September I was on my way to Dr. Hakim office and called them to say I was running just a little late (approximately 23 minutes), but the receptionist said that they didnt have any information about my appointment, about me and they were fully booked. I was shocked. I said that it could be a mistake, but she said no, that never happened, we never spoke with you. She also said that they never got anything from my dentist. And I asked her a couple of questions but she kept saying just the same thing like a robot. She didnt apologize, she didnt say anything, even though it was THEIR MISTAKE and I spent my Wednesday morning on the way to their office. She was very aloof and also put me on hold like she didnt care about anything I say. When she returned, she just kept talking as if she didnt give a sh*t! I hung up the phone and found an email that I got from them before, stating that my consultation was going to be COMPLEMENTARY, this proves that they actually got a note from my dentist and that they LIED! Also, I found the call in my phones history and it says that I had a conversation with them for 7 minutes!Theyre liars. They booked a free consultation and then apparently changed their minds and canceled it. And nobody told me that. They didnt apologize to me, the receptionist was rude and impolite. Im honestly shocked by their approach. And Im shocked that so many people gave them 5 stars. Are those reviews paid?BTW, the rude, aloof and impolite receptionists name is Lourdes.

an update :  The Dr. did not call me to discuss a resolution until I wrote a review . THAT alone pretty much reflects volumes about his lack of professionalism and character. He claimed by sending in written information to the credit card company that he paid upfront to the invisilign company $2800 but actually he emailed me the actual paid receipt to the company which was $1000 less at $1700. That is why it is much better not to tell untruths as the facts come back to bite you!The whole issue is that I paid upfront for a years treatment and due to lack of disclosure I did not go thru with it and he has refused to reimburse me. He suggested to me to give me less than half of what I paid but  I needed to take down this story of what happened first.I rejected his offer as I am due all of my money back and will not take down this as it is  very important to warn potential customers.If he chooses to do the right professional ethical thing and return my money then I will be happy to add a update.

After consulting with several orthodontists in Los Angeles who all said I needed to have a big jaw surgery, my dentist Larry Kozek referred me to Dr Hakim. I was very relieved that I was able to get my bite fixed without surgery, instead using traditional braces. Dr hakim is a very talented orthodontist who can fix issues that most others cant. He was always accommodating and patient. Really great staff too. My teeth look great.

What a fantastic doctor and great staff. Dr. Hakim has helped me so much with my facial pain and TMJ problems that Ive been suffering from for so many years. Hes been able to identify and address my problem in a few short visits and I feel better than ever. Thank you Dr. Hakim and staff!! I highly recommend them for all your ortho and TMJ Issues!

Very cute office for kids.  It looks like a spaceship inside and has video games.  Beautiful view of the sunset strip. It has WiFi bathrooms down the hall.  Complimentary coffee and water.   Very neat and clean never a lot of people waiting I. The waiting room

Im grateful for Dr Hakim and his amazing office.  I have been going to him for several years.  They are always available, professional, and provide expert care.  Hi Highly recommend Dr. Hakim.

Definitely would not recommend. I went to Dr. Hakim to treat my TMJ issues. He gave me an orthotic which definitely helped remove the pop and clicking in my jaw but it moved bite and cause even more pain! My dentist was shocked that they didnt give me some sort of retainer to wear to combat the change from the other orthotic. His advice to me was to wear the orthotic full time. Which is impossible cause its basically a mouth guard and I have to speak all day! Terrible advice. I got Botox and it honestly really helped my pain and the deflation of my massater muscle put my bite back together better. I spent thousands of dollars (Im 24 it wasnt easy to throw that kind of money) with barely any results

My daughter completed her orthodontic care (months ago) and boy are we pleased with the results.  I was concerned about the outcome for good reason (note to read my earlier yelp post).  I couldnt have asked for better because Dr. Hakim is THE BEST!!!  My daughter loves her smile. Cheers.
