Jin Lee Skincare's Online Review Report Card

I would not recommend this place at all! I came the day before my birthday for a deep poor facial and was made to feel extremely uncomfortable. It felt like she was uninterested in actually doing it. I would be left several times for long periods of time with no explanation just to hear her talking to her coworker. I had to keep asking "so what are we doing now" then she'd go to tell me what she was putting on my face. Whenever Ive gotten facials prior to this one they talk you through the process and let you know whats happening. Oh this isn't where it stops so now we're doing extractions..she finishes one side of my face & hear the woman she was speaking to earlier right next to my side now. confused but I don't say anything. however now, not only is the conversation progressing like they're on lunch break, homegirl starts REACTING to each extractions she's doing. I'm baffled but not enough to not saying anything so I ask "are both of you doing my facial" the one on my side says "no" so I ask "then why are you standing over me speaking?". Now its just an uncomfortable silence. For $150 or however much the facial is I SHOULD FEEL PAMPERED. They have no music playing, talking instead of focusing on their client, and then make u feel uncomfortable for speaking up. I was their only black customer as well and even heard the difference in tone in which they spoke to me vs nonblack clientele. It's sad but not new at this point. Will not be coming back and do not recommend!

I struggled a lot with hormonal acne and scars on my cheeks, so I decided to look into multiple different Korean skincares in Koreatown. I came across Jin Lee Skincare and realized that she had really good reviews, so I reached out to her. What initially brought me in was her extremely reasonable prices and the reviews. After receiving a couple sessions from her, I can totally see now why she received such great feedback on Yelp. She's so extremely kind, and so confident about clearing my skin. Everytime I voice out my concerns, she always listens. I still have a couple sessions left with her so we're still working on my skin, but I can for sure see the difference from when I first came in. The redness from my scars have definitely gotten lighter, and my active acne has died down a lot too. I will be sure to post an update once I receive my last two sessions with her. Highly recommend!

Jin Lee's extractions are not for the faint of heart. If you go in and think "oh my skin isn't too bad, she's just do a few extractions".. nope. She looks at every inch of your face and will extract anything and everything that hasn't even come to the surface yet and you didn't even know was there. Beauty is pain, amirite? After seeing her a few times (even though immediately after every appointment my face looks like a tomato from how red it gets) my skin is truly so much better in the long run. I don't break out as much as I did and my skin feels healthier. I prefer when she herself does the entire facial from beginning to end, but I've had her assistant do the cleansing/mask parts in the beginning and end, and Jin Lee does the extractions part in the middle. I've read another review in which Jin Lee double-booked, and unfortunately that happened with me as well. Luckily she moved things around and was still able to see me at my initially scheduled time. Jin Lee's facial services is not a relaxing, spa-like setting. It's more of a let's-get-down-to-business and get-rid-of-all-the-gunk, in-and-out type of place, which is exactly what I want. It's not for everyone, but if you have problem skin and want to fix it and don't need the fluff, then she is your girl! I highly, highly recommend. There is free parking in the building which is a huge plus!

I visited Jin for a facial and was the best thing I ever did! She is so professional and her experience is so noticeable. I got an acne facial and Biotoc brightening. I will definitely be adding this into my regular beauty routine!

JIN IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. My skin looks amazing. She has helped me with so many skin issues I was having. She is patient, kind, loving.....and what I love the most is she believes being natural is the best! I'm so happy to have met her and also call her a friend. I get so many compliments. I have seen so many doctors and skin care experts but only jin has been able to help me. If your having complications with skin issues or anything please go to her I tell all my friends about her! Jin is amazing ! She will give you recommendations on what she thinks is best for your type of skin. I have always been a little afraid of facials because they have never really worked for my acne prone skin. I went off all my skin medications and just going to see Jin once a month to get a deep pore facial with micro-needling. Jin does an amazing job with extractions. Your face may be red for 24-48, but rest assured your skin will look amazing. My skin is always so smooth and silky, I love it. She is the only person I trust with my skin, I highly recommend her !

This experience was just not what I expected. There was no customer service from the moment I entered until I left. I walked in, no one introduced themselves or even asked my name, I just got directed to a table. The assistant did 90% of my facial which I just found odd, but later realized Jin was servicing another woman next to me at the same time. I sat under a humidifier for at least 20-30 minutes waiting for the facial to begin and Jin's only participation was doing the extractions, then the assistant finished the appointment. It wasn't the worst but it wasn't great. I enjoyed the soothing and cooling masks and serums that were used and I appreciated the thoroughness of the extractions. At no time did anyone ask me about my skin concerns, what products I was using etc. No one gave me after care instructions or recommendations for my skin. I was barely spoken to at all. Literally the only words spoken to me were to tell me I would be red for a while and to tell me I needed to come back soon because of excess oil I had trapped. I don't need a lot of babying but I would have appreciated a little more interaction and care for me as an individual. At the very least I expect the person I made the appointment with to be the one doing the service and at bare minimum I'd expect to be asked about my skin type and concerns.

Jin is my skincare fairy godmother and I have really enjoyed all of my sessions with her. I had a deep cleansing facial with her and became hooked - despite the fact that the extraction part made me squirm like a drama queen. Be warned if you have a low threshold for pain, because Jin shows no mercy to dirty pores and will squeeze all the junk out of your face. She is methodical through every step of the facial, and you will come away feeling new feelings and glowing like an angel baby. Another reason why I appreciate Jin is because she's not on the bandwagon with a lot of trending hype you'll see on social media. She's very honest about her observations and for the most part, she'll open your mind to different solutions to your skin issues beyond retinol, acids, and snail mucin (if I see a snail mucin TikTok one more time...) Please support this one woman small business, she deserves all the love and respect for her expertise!

Definitely a hidden gem in LA. I’ve only recently started to invest more in skincare routines and products. Jin’s practices certainly helped to radiate my skin. My friends said my skin was literally “glowing” after my facials. The extractions were thorough and you’re left with very clean pores. Thank you!
