Well, I'm back at keck receiving a endoscopy... umm ... basically, a camera down the throat to see if there was any spreading of tumors or other issues. It was basically a wonderful little nap during a heatwave outside. This time, I had gas given to me and at first it seemed as if it was just pure oxygen but suddenly .... I began to feel the room begin to spiral and spin. And very soon.... beddy bed time. I woke up in a recovery room and told to rest and to possibly expect soarness of throat and abdomen but to tell you the truth... I was main tired. I was told that biopsies were taken of a few areas of concern. Then next, I will be meeting with my surgical oncologist to discuss further details of the findings.

Drs are exceptional. Yet, as mentioned in a previous review, office staff can benefit from further training, and learn to effectively communicate. I called in mid January and the first available appointment was in March. On THREE occasions I called, as DIRECTED, to check for an earlier appointment, no openings simply an extensive explanation why my visit must be on the date scheduled. Fine. As I stepped into the office, I received a call telling me there was an ERROR, my visit was NOT an office visit but a VIDEO call. I was livid! (I had to find and pay for a caregiver to look after two relatives with dementia that live with me). I was rudely dismissed by the person at the front desk, with not even an offer to cover my parking! The fiasco was a result of miscommunication, which the doctor could not understand why, since she had stopped her in office hours for months due to Covid19.

This is the best hospital in the world. Great doctors and wonderful staff. Can’t say enough. It’s a 2 hour drive for appointments and check ups. Well worth the drive.

This hospital is really amazing! They take care of the patients very well and in my case the Dr. J. Gibb that I have is super nice and her assistant Jennifer is a very professional on her job ! Great things to said about Keck Hospital!!
