List of Leo Treyzon's Reviews
Best doctor, thank you for all your help on all of my stomach issues. I highly recommend to give him a try.
Dr. Treyzon is a fantastic and caring physician. He is incredibly knowledgeable with his practice area. He has a wonderful bed-side manner and takes his time and answers all of your questions. His staff is also very friendly and they have great follow up. Thank you to Dr. Treyzon and his team for an A+ experience.
This review is STRICTLY towards the office staff as I have not had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Treyzon himself. Made an appointment to see him over a week ago online since nobody was answering the phone when I called. After receiving what i thought was a confirmation email of my appointment I headed into the office a week later. After driving in traffic for over an hour I get there to find out that this was just an automatic email and there was no appointment scheduled and the Dr. wasn't even there! They then tell me I could go see him in the afternoon at his Santa Monica office OR wait around for someone to make a new appointment. You should really teach your office staff to respect your patients time! Especially new patients as my first impression is 100% ruined, despite all of the favorable reviews. If my appointment wasn't confirmed I would expect someone to reach out and confirm it BEFORE the day I requested, since it was requested a week prior, instead of me having to drive over an hour to find this out!
This review is directed strictly towards Dr Treyzon's office. After paying ( not covered under insruance) for the visit, the meds HE ORDERED WERE NOT COVERED BY THE INSURANCE.Not only that the office manager, Aimee, was: avasive, unprofessional and generally very unhelpful, I had to go back and forth with her on the telephone and via email, asking her to appeal the denial by the insurance. Instead of faxing a specific reason and making sure that the appeal has a reasnable chance of success, she faxed a routine ( not specific) appeal to the insurnace, and later was completely dismissive, unpleasant and unhelpful to me regarding this matter. What a huge disappointment- truly: so unnecessary, stressful and upsetting, when one is not feeling well to start with.I am shocked that a doctor such as Dr Treyzon is holding on to someone so negligent as an office manager- but seeing how the office is run, he is probably not even aware of this- not sure, but what a shame !!
Very friendly and thorough first visit consult.
Avoid at all costs ! First off they charge new patients $650 for a consultation upfront! I argued with the receptionist as to why I should pay upfront if I don't know what to expect from the visit. Secondly, the visit lasted at most 30 min with Treyzon, the beginning was with his attendant. He even instructed me to continue with my current care as he does not specialize in my condition when in fact his website states that it's his specialty. I went there to also consult on an appropriate diet but was instructed to read a book on SCD and did not receive any explanation on the matter; something I can do myself by simply typing on a Google Search. For those writing that he is a miracle doctor and giving all these 5 stars reviews please message me and I will redirect you towards the real 5 stars GI & IBD doctors. I've had my fair share of doctors to know who are deemed to merit these accolades. I've been part of clinical trials for some of today's mainstream medications to know a thing or two about the GI tract.
My actual visit with Dr. Treyzon went smoothly, but everything since that date has been awful. First, he said with "almost certainty" what he thought my issue was, which after taking an at home test, proved not to be the case. However, I understand that's the nature of diagnosis. But my reason for leaving a one-star review is that I was misled about the cost and my insurance coverage, then prescribed a test that wasn't covered and ultimately cost me $600. His office then harassed me for months as I tried to explain to them my issues with their billing process, which they continually ignored, until they ultimately hired a collection agency. I don't know Dr. Treyzon personally, and it seems like others had positive experiences, but I found the entire process to be misleading and scummy.
Excellent experience. Carefully talked through symptoms, treatment process, what to expect. Cannot recommend enough.
My 1st of many visits I will have with Dr. Treyzon was wonderful. He is thorough, knowledgable and showed attentive care in my goal to get a long term plan in place for my digestive wellbeing. Dr. Treyzon is a diamond in the rough…he is what physcians used to be like in making you feel that you matter and listening to what is important to your health. Thanks Dr. Treyzon!!
Dr. Treyzon is the best Gastroenterologist out there! I mean this! I had my first visit with him after visiting multiple gastroenterologists, and the difference is that he truly cares and spends so much of his time. He answers every single question, gives clear instructions and really understands what you the condition maybe. Dr. Treyzon always has back up plans as well. The best Gastro!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
