List of Lifescape Recovery Mental Health Services's Reviews
I had an incredible experience with Lifescape's PHP and IOP programs. Could not recommend them more highly. The team is caring and empathetic. Their programs have a great balance of theoretical, therapy-based, and somatic healing practices. I would not be where I am today without Lifescape's care.
I had a great experience. I found looking for a good fit to be very challenging. There were places that didn’t call me back, that didn’t take my insurance, that had bad reviews, so when I called Lifescape and had talked to two friendly, professional staff members by the end of the day, I knew I was dealing with a solid program that would help me get the treatment I was hoping for. I showed up on day one and fell into the program immediately. The structure of the program is open enough that you can begin right away, as space permits. The focus on 100%participation means that you feel like part of the community on day one. That community that they have created is a genuine cross-section of Los Angeles, with people from all walks of life, economically, racially, generationally, and gender-preferring and gender-identifying. The common trait that spans these differences is a tangible sense of love and respect that is part of the ethos of this place as well as a focus on healing the whole person. One of the really interesting aspects of the program is that they mix addiction and mental health patients to varying degrees, as appropriate. This unique structure allows for deep reflection and treatment on complicated problems that may have afflicted patients for years and or may have gone unexamined. Finally, the physical space feels a little bit like an mini urban campus. There are classes, with changing periods, indoor and outdoor spaces, a coffee break area with free snacks, free parking, space for physical activities, like yoga, and individual rooms for theropy. I highly recommend the Lifescape program!
I would highly recommend this place. I can tell you also that alongside me were several people that have been to other centers, and every single one of them said this place is far and away the best of any they’ve ever found. I think it’s very well run, very supportive, they feel interested in YOU and not just the bottom line. If you’re considering it, I’d take a chance on it, and would bet it’s THE ONE. However if for any reason it’s not, you can always change to another. They also offer telehealth if you need it, but always better to be there in person if you can.
10/10 experience — would recommend My experience at Lifescape was a solid 10/10. The care was thoughtful, professional, and genuinely effective. I came in needing support and left feeling more grounded, equipped, and clear than when I started—which is exactly the point. The program itself is well-rounded and honestly impressive. On any given week, I found myself doing yoga one day, boxing another, breathwork, hypnotherapy, and a wide range of talk therapy groups. One minute you’re stretching and breathing through emotions, the next you’re boxing them out—balance 😅. It keeps you engaged and meets you where you are, mentally and physically. What I appreciated most is that Lifescape provides a strong structure and foundation, but they’re also very clear about something important: the real work has to be done by you. The tools, support, and guidance are there—but you have to make the conscious decision to tap into yourself, show up honestly, and commit to healing, change, and growth. The program opens the door, but you’re the one who has to walk through it. I’ve officially graduated and am now in the “adjusting back to real life” phase (mild anxiety included—very normal). Even so, I feel prepared, supported, and confident moving forward. I would absolutely recommend Lifescape to anyone considering it.
I really loved my time at Lifescape. I loved how they value the mind - body connection. It is such a perfect blend of somatic based practices and processing groups. People become like family. The program really works if you commit to it. Loved my case managers, they were also so helpful. If you have the opportunity to go here, do it. I learned so many new, helpful things that worked for me that I never even thought to try - like breath work and acupuncture. It’s a great place. If you are struggling - check if lifescape takes your insurance because it’s truly one of a kind.
I cherish my time in Lifescape. It really gave me that pause and reset to realign and reconnect. This was my first real experience receiving Mental health support. I'm so grateful for my therapist there. And the group therapy I had a really great group.
Lifescape is truly a sanctuary for healing in Los Angeles. From the moment you walk in, you can feel that this isn’t just another recovery program. It is a space where people are genuinely seen, supported, and guided back to themselves. Everyone is so welcoming and good humored. The team combines deep clinical expertise with heartfelt care, creating an environment that feels both safe and empowering. The integration of therapy, holistic practices, and community support makes the journey feel like the beginning of a new life. Every conversation, group, and session here feels intentional. It’s very different from the heavy energy of other recovery programs or some meetings. The people who attend are high quality folks that for the most part seem to have experienced overwhelming hardships due to being highly sensitive and caring so much for others. Truly, some of the most delightful people you’ll ever meet in terms of both their team and clients. At Lifescape, there is always space for tears and laughter. Recovery here is the celebration of the human spirit against all odds. Lifescape meets you exactly where you are and helps you understand your own resilience, limits and healthy boundaries. Forever grateful for my experience.
The program gave me the tools, structure, and support I really needed, and I’ve seen so much personal growth over the past 2½ months. I’m leaving with a renewed sense of hope and motivation. Please share my gratitude with the whole team — thank you all for making such a difference.
This place is absolutely the best! The treatment is holistic and medical and spiritual. The program touches every part of who you are. They had yoga, acupuncture, support and process groups, educational classes, etc. This program really changed my life for the better. You will not regret choosing Lifescape as your mental health treatment team! Go for it!
I entered Lifescape recovery with more anxiety than I can describe , I had lost it and had a meltdown and needed the help desperately , the reviews were amazing and location ideal and they dealt with anxiety and bipolar disorders so felt confident they dealt with my issues . I called and explained and everything went fast , a day or two later I sent to visit the center with my brother and took a tour , they went out of there way in guiding me through the steps and even reassured me to help me with insurance and short term disability forms and issues I was struggling with. They had me start just a few days later , no time was wasted even though the insurance had not been sorted out they prioritized getting me the help right away and that they would figure the rest out with me, not to worry , How sweet is that ?! And sure enough things little by little got resolved and provided peace of mind. At first like everyone you arrive anxious worried about what’s to come before it’s arrived and wondering if a program will even work for you . But then you start seeing micro results , then you might regress , it happens but you continue and it’s truly a sort of luxury to have the schedule and routine we have there , balancing mind , body and soul . Little by little I had breakthroughs , again sometimes wondering if it was simply a good week but not the therapy .. but then you realize it’s the center and it’s people and program that are helping you and getting into your mind and thoughts and they helped me find the balance with my meds as well. My group was so special , we truly bonded and became a family. I didn’t want it to end but I was lucky to have 8 weeks of blessings in disguise, lots of silver linings and with much of my concerns dealt with if not resolved . Of course there is no magic wand , I came with a disorder I live and leave with that disorder but I leave calm and more ready than I thought I’d be. Of course still nervous to go back to the real would and work. But the tools i received and learned are priceless. Between group therapy , one one therapy , psychiatrist , yoga, breath work , acupuncture sound baths , boxing , and more you really learned so much . I feel everyone mental health issues it not should do this program , I genuinely believe everyone would benefit from it! No matter how I got here , I’m glad I did .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
