Had an awful experience here. Stuck it out for a month before I found a much better fit. Apartments are not safe, you're in the middle of Santa Monica, the groups and therapists are not helpful. Would not recommend to anyone needing treatment.
I always feel comfortable and excited when I come to Lightfully! Everyone is adorable! Very friendly and supportive! I will always recommend Lightfully! Everyone helped me! I give them a million thanks! I feel way better since I was attending Lightfully! Thank you so much! God bless you guys always
Lightfully was fantastic. It helped me immensely with my mental health issues that I was having as well as the grief that I was and still am experiencing. The told provided are still helping me get thru life. I will always recommend Lightfully to any and everyone I know! Thank you Lightfully for being there when I was in desperate need. You helped me regain my footing when I was lost and felt so very alone. I also know that I can always come back if needed.

I can’t say enough good things about Lightfully Behavioral Health in South Bay. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the care and intention behind everything they do. The clinical team is compassionate, skilled, and truly invested in the healing journey of each individual. They offer a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to mental health treatment that balances structure and support with genuine human connection. One of the standout features is their beautiful housing, peaceful, well-maintained, and just a short walk from the PHP/IOP clinic. The location is ideal, nestled near shops, restaurants, and cafes, making it a great place to heal while slowly reintegrating back into life and the community. What really sets Lightfully apart is the way they treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis. Clients are met with kindness, dignity, and a personalized plan that addresses their unique needs. The facility itself is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to create a safe space for healing. If you or a loved one is seeking a high-quality program with heart, integrity, and clinical excellence, Lightfully South Bay is a place I would wholeheartedly recommend. They’re making a real difference in this community.
Very family friendly. My family and I really appreciate all the support they have given us.
They are kind and they accept IEHP
I didn’t know where to start—so I just started. That’s how this healing journey began. Not with clarity or confidence, but with exhaustion. Something deep inside me kept whispering: You need help. Start there. So I did. For years, I carried everything on my own. I kept pushing through, surviving the only way I knew how. Until one day, it all became too heavy. I couldn’t keep the mask on anymore. I spent weeks in bed, crying. My family didn’t know what was wrong. Honestly, neither did I. The sadness was relentless. I felt like a burden, like my kids would be better off without me. Thoughts of suicide crept in daily—not because I wanted to leave them, but because I didn’t know how to keep living with the pain. Eventually, I got help. I was prescribed medication and enrolled in Lightfully intensive outpatient program—five days a week, three hours a day. I took a leave from work and poured what little I had left into showing up. It terrified me. I didn’t know what therapy would uncover. For so long, I worked hard to keep the lid tightly closed on all the trauma. I was afraid that opening that box would swallow me whole. But I showed up anyway. At first, I stayed quiet. There was a group session called “core,” where people shared whatever was on their hearts. I listened. I was the new one, unsure if my pain was even valid. I told myself others had it worse. I didn’t feel like I had the right to cry. But that’s not how healing works. Eventually, I started speaking. Slowly, I let pieces of myself be seen. No one judged me. I saw others cry over things they’d never said out loud before. I witnessed growth, courage, and raw honesty. And I began to trust the space. The other hours were spent learning: emotional regulation, values work, even yoga and music therapy. I started filling a journal with notes. I was desperate to make meaning out of the pain. Day by day, I started turning my sadness into something else—anger, curiosity, hope. I didn’t become “fixed.” But I did start becoming someone new. There were moments I doubted everything. I worried I hadn’t gone deep enough. That I wasted my time. That the trauma still living in me hadn’t been touched. But in those final days before discharge, I realized something important: This program wasn’t meant to fix me. It was meant to equip me—to hand me tools I could carry into the real work ahead. I still struggle with perfectionism, neglect, and the deep ache left behind by abuse. I’m barely scratching the surface. But now I have something I didn’t have before: a voice.
Lightfully was my family for the last 4 months. Starting was difficult, I was closed off and isolated. It felt like a huge waste of my time. Eventually I began absorbing all the knowledge I could, putting in the work, and doing my best to apply it daily. As I reached the end, it got tricky. I wasn't ready to go. I felt like there was so much unresolved and there was no way I was ready to get back out into the world. But I learned that this was just the start of my journey. It's not meant to heal you- but it can be an incredible stepping stone for your journey of continuing therapy and doing the work. Thank you Lightfully for helping me become more assertive, and teaching me to listen to what my mind, body, and soul needs to live a happier more fulfilling life.
It was an absolute waste of time. At the end of program I was dismissed with no Direction.I do not recommend this program !

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
