I'm a little concerned after reading all the negative reviews however the person I spoke to over the phone was very professional and very empathetic to my needs. She was able to quickly make me an appointment. I called on Thursday and have my first appointment with the psychiatrist today...Monday and tomorrow is my appointment to set up my Spravato appointments. So far so good. I'll come back later today and update.

A doctor called me to discuss my daughter's care and I tried to return the call but you cannot get through. Even if you leave a phone number nobody calls you back. What kind of places is this???

If I could this should be a zero rated review! I am a new patient and I'm already upset about this office and DR Jonathan Shaywitz for canceling my appointment over and over again. I've been recommended by my insurance and scheduled an appointment with Dr Jonathan Shaywitz almost two months ago and it was canceled just a few days before my appointment and rescheduled for a different date and when I showed up at the office I was then told they needed to reschedule and giving me a new appointment which I had to make adjustments to my schedule to make that work. Today, less than an hour before my scheduled appointment I received a phone call from the office saying they needed to reschedule for next week. This is an office that charges $175 for a No show but feels very comfortable to mess with other people's schedules. Who can someone trust a doctor that has no respect for his patients and is canceling over and over again? I totally understand why they have such bad reviews and I'm curious to see if they cancel the next time again. What a shame that this kind of people are the ones who supposed to help patients with mental health issues. This is shameful! I wish there was as a zero tolerance policy by insurance providers to prevent this from happening to patients.

I wish I could give less of a rating. 2 years with them, I don't think you'll need another testimony. You cannot contact anyone. You will be notified by email that they may take 3 business days to reply. To everything. They mess up your prescription? 3 business days. They send it to the wrong pharmacy? 3 business days. You have an emergency? Call their number (once you find it, they hide it well) and get put on hold indefinitely and never talk to anyone. Schedule an emergency call? They will push it back indefinitely until hours are closed. And that 3 business days? Bs. I contacted them over 2 weeks ago. Multiple messages between then. Not a single reply. Happy to take my money though. Never fkn late to take my money. In short. You will not find a less caring, less empathetic, or a worse company to try to help you. It's about mental health and they literally will let you lapse on your medications every single month. Oh, and they prescribed me class 4 drugs without a doctors okay. So they also, are shady and do illegal things :) go anywhere else. This is not an exaggeration. I wish it was.

For $79 a month the care was nonexistent and the customer service was borderline cruel. It was barely adequate when they were Done Health but when it was rebranded to Mindful the neglect and lack of support was shocking. I know getting ADHD medication is difficult right now but avoid this company. They will take your money provide a prescription but no one will fill it except sketchy pharmacies that get closed down on a regular basis and the medication is suspect.

Admin is terrible. They can't keep track of appointments, will charge you additional co-pays, etc. My doctor went on leave and when I needed to make a new appointment with a new provider they told me there were literally 0 other doctors able to take her patients.

Review of Dr. Cheyette – Burlingame Office Mindful Health Solutions is poorly managed, with constant billing errors, insurance issues, overcharges, an inaccessible telehealth system, and an unresponsive administration. This dysfunction extends to patient care, making it an unsafe choice for anyone in need of reliable psychiatric treatment. Major Issues with Dr. Cheyette’s Care: • Abruptly terminated care during a period of extreme distress (dog’s death, natural disaster, evacuation, and a medication error). • No meaningful transition plan despite repeated requests—only a generic list of random providers. • Directed me to IOP treatment but only provided options that were out-of-network or geographically inaccessible. • Denied collaboration with my psychologist, who sees me regularly and provided a professional diagnosis. • Gaslit me about follow-ups, claiming I didn’t pursue treatment when I had sent proof of my efforts. • Medication mismanagement—prescribed the wrong benzodiazepine dosage without informing me, which likely impacted my mental state. • Poor bedside manner—rushed, dismissive, and lacking compassion. • Terminated care over Zoom with no warning, refused to extend medications to bridge care, and hung up on me mid-session. Severed Ties Without Justification After three years of compliance with treatment, Dr. Cheyette abruptly cut me off when I was at my most vulnerable. His decision followed a series of destabilizing events in my life: the loss of my dog, a natural disaster that forced me to evacuate, and a medication error that left me unknowingly taking half my prescribed benzodiazepine dose. Despite my repeated attempts to follow his guidance and seek escalated care, he provided only unworkable referrals—options that were either hours away or didn’t accept my insurance. When I pointed this out, I was given another list of random providers with no assurance of continuity of care. After expressing that I intended to leave the practice but needed help transitioning, I was instead fired at my next appointment. Medication Mismanagement & Gaslighting Dr. Cheyette made a serious prescribing mistake, leaving me unknowingly taking half my benzodiazepine dose for a month. This likely contributed to my increased distress—yet he never acknowledged the mistake, let alone apologized. Instead, he disregarded the impact this might have had on my mental state and moved forward with dropping me as a patient. On top of this, he falsely claimed I hadn’t followed up on seeking IOP treatment, despite my having sent proof of my efforts. It was clear he had already made the decision to cut ties and was looking for an excuse to justify it. Lack of Medication Adjustments Over Three Years In three years, Dr. Cheyette never once adjusted my antidepressant, despite my raising concerns that it was no longer effective. I repeatedly brought up medications that had worked for me in the past, but he dismissed them. Instead, he only experimented with low-dose antipsychotics that affected executive function—despite my having a brain injury that already impaired executive function. I reported that one of these medications was causing anhedonia (inability to feel pleasure), but he flat-out denied it was possible. Final Session: A Cold & Cruel Termination The moment I told Dr. Cheyette my dog had died and that I wanted to reassess my medications, his immediate response was to start looking for another doctor for me. I was confused and tried to redirect the conversation, but I knew at that moment I was going to be dropped. At my next appointment, he made it official—without discussion, he informed me it would be my last session, refused to prescribe enough medication to bridge care, and hung up on me while I was still speaking. Shortly after, I received a two-page termination letter from someone I’d never heard of, citing “therapeutic misalignment” despite my complete compliance with treatment. The Real Reason I Was Dropped I have no doubt that I was dismissed not for medical reasons, but because I was a “difficult” patient—meaning I asked questions, voiced opinions on my diagnosis, and sought clarity about my treatment. Ironically, one of my biggest challenges is excessive talking, something I repeatedly asked for help managing but was never addressed. I was not an uncooperative or noncompliant patient. I followed every recommendation given to me, even when those recommendations failed me. But at some point, they got tired of dealing with me. And rather than handle my case with the care and professionalism a vulnerable psychiatric patient deserves, they threw me away. Final Thoughts This was a reckless, cruel, and dangerous decision that has only further harmed me. Finding a new psychiatrist takes months. I explicitly told them I was leaving but needed time—and instead of allowing me that, they cut me off in the coldest way possible. This experience is exactly why people avoid seeking psychiatric care. You can do everything right, and when you don’t improve, the system blames and discards you. Jp

Do not give them your card, ask for receipts of everything. they will fraudulently process charges and never check or provide you any information on your bills no matter now often you ask for your bill in writing or by phone. Doctors and some of the staff are good but the Billing is a sham that is never accessible. If you truly care about this business whoever owns and runs it needs to do an overhaul of the bill process and department. Until that is fixed I can't recommend this organization at all.

If your are struggling with a mental health issue, keep looking. While setting up my first telehealth appt was simple and Dr Chin was thorough, eveything else after that was so chaotic. From failed appt reminders to no messages at all, it truly seems like this operation needs much better oversight with some real examination needed for process, procedures and communication. I have spoken to Brenda the OPs manager. She was not overly courteous when hearing my frustration. I got a call today 30 minutes before my appt asking "if I was coming today". Now they are "trying" to confirm a long standing appt for tomorrow telling me the person that scheduled it wasn't the person the should have scheduled it. I confirmed that appt yesterday with the person that schedule it! I really dont have much trust in the care I will get here. Sadly, it's close, convenient and under my insurance plan, otherwise I would walk away in a minute.
