List of Nack Behavioral Health's Reviews
TLDR: Nack is an incredible place with incredible staff and incredible group members. I would highly recommend choosing this IOP even if you're hesitant. Nack is an exceptional intensive outpatient program where people grow every single day. I have gained so much from my time at Nack, it’s difficult to adequately verbalize. I have learned to extend the compassion and empathy I provide others to myself. I have learned how to ask for help when I need it and I’m starting to learn to recognize when I actually don’t need help and can handle something on my own. I have learned to see common humanity even in those I disagree with (and I disagree with a lot of people). I have learned to recognize distress bubbling up and catch myself when my SUDs level is under six rather than always feeling like my crises come out of nowhere. I have learned to emotionally attenuate to many unpleasant emotions including anger, sadness, and fear. All of this growth would not have been possible without the unwavering support of all the Nack staff and group members. Kyle, the Founder and CEO, isn't someone I interacted with a whole lot, but in the times I did, I could tell he cares so much about Nack's mission. I have also heard other clients express gratitude for Kyle's flexibility with payment for IOP. Heather, the Chief Clinical Officer, is an incredible leader and therapist. She will challenge you and it will often be hard and you might not even want to talk to her at times, but it will be worth it. She also leads many of my favorite groups throughout the week, like Unified Protocol and Mindful Self Compassion. If you feel like, you've done everything therapy has to offer, Heather's groups will probably prove you wrong. Kim, a Primary Therapist, is one of the kindest clinicians I've ever met. She pours everything into each group she leads (DBT, Creative Expression, Process, and more recently Sociometry and Recap/Intentions). She also consistently starts conversations about client opinions and feedback and is extremely receptive to our thoughts. Dominique, a Primary Therapist and my individual therapist, is incredibly compassionate. Her compassion shows up as actively listening to everything you say and providing validation when you need that but also pushing you out of your comfort zone and challenging you to cope with the resulting distress. All four staff members collaborate effectively to ensure each client's treatment process is smooth and wraps around. They do a great job assigning clients to the right individual therapist and then all communicate to make sure information isn't lost when your individual therapist isn't in a group with you. As for the other group members, I have made some lifelong connections at Nack. The majority of the group consists of USC students, both undergraduate and graduate, so there is already a baseline level of understanding. Everyone then cultivates a supportive and safe environment where you are free to be yourself and share everything, from your strengths and assets to the darkest parts of your existence. Overall, I would highly recommend Nack to any college student struggling with mental health. Even if you're hesitant and scared, all you have to do is show up and the rest will follow.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
