One of the best doctors and nurses in California......thanks for maintaining my beauty skin ..... luv you.. all
This place was gorgeous and very luxurious. Just not worth the price though. We had an hour massage and then only an hour to spend in all the different pools. Needed at least another half hour to feel relaxed and not rushed.
Great little (and I mean little) nail salon near Times Square. The ladies are so sweet and engaging, and they do a fantastic job- even when you accidentally mess up a nail.
Was recommended by a friend and have been here two times. Some good things are it looks like they use good expense products, the space is very nice, and makes me feel comfortable. The ladies there are nice as well. In terms of the facial itself, the lady that did my facial..she was somewhat thorough with the extractions, but for the rest of the facial I felt like she was just rushing through it all to be quite honest. I also recently went to another skin care salon only 3 weeks after coming here and the lady found a really deep bad black head that has been formed for a long time so it makes me question whether this place is good enough. Overall, I wasn't completely sold and for $90/facial if you get the package I don't know if it justifies.
Don't go. Overpriced for a mediocre service. No one speaks English there. Not sure if any of these aestheticians has credentials or is here legally. What's worse - I overheard an employee speaking to a customer in Korean (without knowing I understand Korean) that non-Korean customers are easier to deal with because they don't have to try as harder. What the what! They are taking advantage of Americans who are into K-beauty stuff. Don't go.
I had to knock down a star because I was pretty disappointed in my last appointment. I went in with a couple of little whitehead bumps around my cheeks and the normal blackheads on my nose so I did expect the extraction process to be short. However, I did feel it was a bit rushed this time. Jinah recommended the aqua peel which I've never done before, she said it was meant for clearing out my pores and smoothing my skin so I was excited to try it. However after I left my appointment I felt my skin was just as congested as when I went in. I even still had a nose full of black heads when I checked the mirror that night. I waited for 2 days thinking the bumps might go down but my skin still doesn't feel clean or smooth like it normally does after an appointment. I don't know what's going on but I'm pretty sad about it. I'm going to reconsider buying a second package. I do recommend to whoever comes here to book on a less busy day and not during lunch hours, so whoever works on you isn't distracted by other things. I know that seems obvious, but I think thats the mistake I made here. I had my appointment at 12 noon on a saturday.
My favorite go-to skincare place! :) After being duped by different skincare places in Koreatown, I did extensive research and found Peony Skin Care. I found this place a month before my wedding, and my only regret is that I didn't come here sooner. Since I didn't have much time, I got a facial every week before my wedding date. They were able to fix most of my skin problems which resulted from wedding stress and dehydration, and by the day of my wedding, my skin was flawless. Although not as frequently as before, I get facials at least once a month, and they always tell me what I can do to keep my skin healthy and clean. I haven't had any flareups since I started coming here, and I can't thank Peony Skin Care Center enough. Unlike other skincare places that use questionable products, products used at Peony are exceptionally high-end brands like Dermalogica, Darphin, and more. They always vary the facial depending on how my skin is. For example, if I need a lot of extractions, they don't recommend a thorough massage on my face as excessive friction can irritate my sensitive skin. Give this place a try! I'm on my 8th facial, and I'm definitely going to sign up for another 10 sessions. :)
How does this place not have more reviews? Peony Skin Care is amazing. I started coming here in preparation of my upcoming wedding. I didn't want to go to other skin care places in Koreatown because they have a reputation of "buying" good reviews. I took a chance with Peony and boy, did it pay off. I have oily combination skin and sadly, am prone to cystic acne. Before coming here, I tried everything from proactive to changing my diet. Nothing worked. I would always get random acne causing areas in my face to become red and inflamed. BUT THEN, I started coming here and my acne started disappearing one by one. It is a painful process with the enzyme peel and whatnot but the pain is totally worth it. The staff is very friendly but my go to person is Bonnie. Bonnie knows what type of treatment is well suited for my face.. She is good with extractions and is very thorough with the skin care routine. If you want clear and healthy skin, come here. You won't regret it.
I recently moved to la and was on a hunt for my new facial spot. I specifically wanted a Korean facial place as they have the most beautiful hydrated skin in the word! Cue peony. My plan was to just get facials at all the Korean spots until I found "the one". I started here on a whim and absolutely feel in love the first time so I bought the package and just had my second facial. I've had ALOT of facials, European, Indian, MedSpa, etc. nothing has ever come close to what they do here. I'm not 100% sure if this place is different than other Korean spots but whatever they do, it's working for me! My lady was Cindy. She's amazing. Her face massage can change lives and I would genuinely hire her just to massage my face weekly if I could. They do everything you could desire all at once: cleanse, exfoliating, massage, extraction, a multitude of devices such as micro derm, high frequency, suction, cooling wand, and my favorite, jelly masks (if you haven't experienced this, Google it). Love this place.
Update: after five acne treatments and two peels, almost all of my active acne is gone and my hyperpigmentation is greatly reduced. Jin-Ah gave me great product recommendations and was extremely thorough with follow-up. I recommend you request her for acne treatments. My experience with two other facialists for acne was good, but not great. Be warned that the extractions can really, really hurt! Especially if you do an enzyme peel right after---the acid goes directly into the extracted areas. But it's worth it after your skin recovers for a day or two. I haven't experienced any peeling because I didn't do the highest-strength peel, but I will most likely be back for one more session. Highly, highly recommend this caring and friendly place, especially if you speak Korean or Chinese!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
