Dr Crookes is the best! Always had time to help me even with his crazy schedule. I never felt rushed in any appointments and he genuinely cared about my overall health rather than just the gastro element. Anytime I had an issue he took it seriously and was though in resolving said issue. Thank you for your excellence!

I am beyond Blessed to have been placed in Dr. Crookes hands. He went far beyond what most Doctor’s would have to make my DS surgery happen. It will be 6 yrs on 3/30/18 I still maintain with a 116 pound loss (267/151) I love you Dr. Cookes! Your the Best!!!!

Dr. Peter Crookes performed my DS & RNY 14 years ago. Subsequently, I lost 180 pounds and went from a size 3X to size 12. The surgery was performed when I was 60 years of age. What a difference! No more cane. Easy plastics to remove extra skin including the flappy arms. Double knee replacement was a breeze without the extra weight. Dr. Crookes has been there with me annually as I do my vitamin tests and always first with a good Irish hug. Even after we moved to another state I have been able to reach Dr. Crookes by phone or by email. He has commented that I was his poster girl for bariatric surgery and follow up. I love this first class leprechaun.

I can appreciate that Dr. Crookes is well-respected in the medical community and that he is constantly researching and publishing. However, such "busy-ness" in his field leads to one critical drawback: he has little time for his patients. After two balloon treatments to open up my esophagus, he never once called to follow up with me. He did not disclose the side effects of my surgery beforehand. When I called his office to express concern over my inability to burp, I was told I needed to have more tests done. When I asked for Dr. Crookes to call me back, I was told that he is very busy. I never did get a call back from the doctor. Moreover, I was informed that I better hurry up and get those additional tests done quickly as the doctor would be on sabbatical soon. Uneasy about undergoing additional testing, I called another doctor for a second opinion. This doctor asserted that the additional tests Dr. Crookes wanted me to undergo were unnecessary and would not be useful.

Dr. Crookes did my RNY surgery and was amazing, I could not have asked for a better experience. From the insurance problems that we went though to the day of surgery. Dr. Crookes was my guardian angel and he saved my life. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Crookes to anyone in need of his expertise. He is an amazing Doctor.
