So I have been dealing with some really stressful health issues' since 2013 5 years. I could not eat certain food after getting the lapband remove due to a defective band that ended up eroding into my stomach (He did not put in, Beverly Hills medical center did)As the years past it got worse. I started going to the Drs and different specialist for all different kinds of testing I could not digest food right, it was always getting stuck, when it did digest it was super painful with every bite, acid reflux, heartburn, sometimes I would have to raise my hands up above my head just to eat the pressure and help it digest,but no Dr could figure it out. Long story short Dr Um I can say changed my life for the better he not only performed the surgery that has help me eat normally he found the cause of it within a few months after conducting the test he did. I mow have my second chance to becoming healthy and eating better. It’s been a long journey for me but he fixed me!! Thank you so much Dr you are truly and amazing Dr and you never gave up !!!! I highly recommend Dr Um !!

I am so grateful for Dr. Um and the West LA Kaiser team. He is a caring doctor and made the process smooth. His confidence in my ability to do the work really motivated me because for the 1st time, I didnt feel judged. He is a leader in what he does! The Kaiser team was kind and supportive. They have lots of resources too!

Dr Um is truly an amazing Dr. I was suffering for 5 years after a lapband removal that eroded in my stomach (done by Beverly hill) I could not eat without having pain, it was awful 5 years. I went to several specialist and lots of different testings they could not figure it out. Dr Um was confident in what he was doing. He found a fistula in my stomach along with thick scar tissue and took care of it I am now able to lead a normal life. No more pain and suffering, He is truly amazing!

Dr. Scott Um is a very intense Surgeon. His mission is to make you feel comfortable and at ease about your pending situation. He is very thorough and he listens to your concerns. He answers all of your questions straight forward. I was so Bless to have him as my Surgeon, and this was my third time attempting this journey. I must say if it would have been another Surgeon, I probably still would not have went through the surgery! Thanks Dr. Um!!!!

I had my surgery 3/9/2017 Dr. Um and his staff was just amazing. They made me feel comfortable and help me get through my nervousness by keeping me informed about everything that was going on. My surgery was a success I want to thank Dr. Um and his staff.

Dr. Um is an amazing doctor who cares for all of his patients and his staff is also wonderful. He gave me back my life. I really do feel like he gave me a second chance in life with grace and mercy.
