The Team of Dr. Garabekyan and his Medical Assistant Zohra are like no other. I was in denial of the seriousness of my hip pain. He was highly recommended by a friend. During my initial visit Dr. Garabekyan spent time explaining what was causing my hip pain and provided clarification of treatment options. We both knew that this would be a surgical case. He was patient enough with me to work on my schedule and not push surgery until I had time off from work. Now to Zohra, she is amazing! Had multiple issues with my insurance company approving imaging and the actual surgery, but she worked thoroughly to get everything approved in time.I am now almost two-months post-op and OMG wish I had heard of Dr. Garabekyan years ago. I no longer have pain in my hip! He's a godsend!!! Not to mention his work ethic, bedside manner, and how much he truly cares for each patient. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone having issues with their hips

I was in pain for months before being diagnosed with a labrum tear due to hip dysplasia. The first surgeon I saw explained to me that I needed a PAO surgery and that not too many surgeons were doing it. He recommended me to Dr. Garabekyan. I made a lot of research with my parents and we all agreed that if I had to have this surgery, he would be the one doing it! Dr. Garabekyan explained everything to us, not leaving any unanswered question. The surgery took place 3 months ago. Dr. Garabekyan visited me everyday during my hospital stay! I still see him every 6 weeks; but as I prepare to go back to college, I can say that I am not in pain anymore. My scars are healing very well. Dr. Garabekyan monitors them every time I see him, making sure they are as minimal as possible. He’s the best! Oh, and his front desk is very friendly and his assistant, Zohra, was very helpful and responsive! Thanks Dr. Garabekyan!

Due to a hip dysplasia diagnosis and increasing hip pain that eventually made walking painful, I underwent PAO surgery with Dr. Garabekyan in 04/2021 on my left hip. I am currently 10 weeks post-surgery and already forgetting that I underwent the procedure. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Garabekyan and am incredibly grateful for having been referred to him! It is clear that he cares greatly about his craft and increasing the quality of life of his patients. Not many surgeons can do what he does, and if you are considering a PAO surgery, you will be in the best hands. He takes the time to thoroughly explain the mechanics of what is not working and why, and is meticulous in ensuring the best care in and out of the hospital. He started me right away with pre-op physical therapy to get me as strong as possible pre-surgery, which is why I believe I've had a fairly easy recovery considering the magnitude of the surgery. I will be undergoing a second PAO surgery later this year on my right hip and am excited to be able to return to normal life without hip pain. Highly highly highly recommend.

We learned that our daughter would likely need to have PAO surgery to correct the congenital hip dysplasia of her left hip in the summer of 2019. She found Dr. Garabekyan online and came to her dad and I (both physicians in Indiana) and asked if we could talk to him. At the time, I thought of the idea of going all the way to California to have the surgery was a long shot. I reached out to Zohra, who put us in contact with Dr. Garabekyan. He took the time to meet with my husband and I over the phone and answered all of our questions and concerns. He had a second meeting with our daughter to address all of her questions. We read his research and papers published on the CU-PAO and were convinced that he was who we wanted to do her surgery. With the way Dr. Garabekyan talks to his patients about the mechanics of the hip, we were assured that this is his passion and he is very skilled at what he does. Our daughter had a hip scope in late June of 2020 and her PAO a week later. Her recovery has been amazing and working with Dr. G was our best decision. We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Garabekyan, Zohra, and his staff.

I cannot recommend Dr. Garabekyan enough. He has changed my life. After experiencing many years of hip pain and immobility due to an unknown hip deformity, he was able to determine the cause, repair and reshape my hips. These past five years have been the most difficult in my life. I’ve gone through over 10-15 pelvic mris, failed numerous biologic meds, lost my career, and started to lose myself. I’m now able to walk longer periods without excruciating pain and limping. I suffer from psoriatic arthritis, but finding a solution to my hip problem has already given me hope for my future and that is a huge accomplishment in my book. Thank you Dr. Garabekyan for your patience, skill, hard work, and kindness. To anyone experiencing chronic hip pain, please don’t waste your time with anyone else. Felt like he didnt really seem to really care how extremely painful my glute and hip tear are.
