I trusted Dr Batzdorf as my Chiari doctor for years. He recommended Decompression surgery. When that same surgery left me with old and new neurological complications he refused to see me or continue my care. I felt heartbroken, scared, and abandoned.

Dr Batzdorf performed my sub-occipital decompression and C-1 laminectomy in 2001. I was his 152nd surgery of this type. He is a brilliant man. Thank you! A review nearly 21 years late, but worthy. Trust him. Hes amazing.

Dr. Batzdorf is a very good surgeon. He did my spinal cord surgeries in 1998 and 2000 and I felt better after the surgeries. He was very patient in explaining the procedures and results and very caring of my condition. He is very knowledgeable of his chosen field of medicine. He is still my doctor and I cannot ask for anyone else.

He saved me, and was the most comprehensive and attentive doctor to treat me. Me and my family were impressed by his humble yet reassuring and knowing presence, and he was skilled in a patient interview, knowing how to steer the questions, pay attention to details and ask about them, not make you nervous, understand descriptions and generally do a thorough patient examination.

Dr. Batzdorf did my decompression back in 1997. My surgery was an amazing success. To this day I will never forget being in recovery and the first thing he would do when he visited me was knock my crossed feet apart so I didn’t block blood flow in my legs.:) “Fun Fact” To this day when I cross my legs I think of him and blood flow through my legs and uncross them. I owe my life to this man. Before my surgery I thought my life was over.

I had a growth in my arm, and saw many doctors, who said they could not operate. When I saw Dr. Batzdorf he took a safety pin and poked my fingers. He said I can operate. He did and I'm grateful that I found him.
