University Spine & Pain Center - Los Angeles Pain Management Clinic's Online Review Report Card

I can't recommend Dr. Nguyen more! I first came here after my insurance changed it's payment rules and I got dumped by several of my doctors, including my pain management one. At first I was very upset, as you could imagine, but it turned out to be a good thing in leading me to University Spine & Pain and Dr. Nguyen. He is just so nice and really cares about his patients. And if you have any chronic health issues and have to deal with a lot of doctors, like I do, then you know that Doctors like this are few and far between. The office is small but easy to get to. When I saw it was in Hermosa beach I thought the drive would be a nightmare, but there is no traffic, it is easy peasy. The staff, like the Doctor, are really nice and go out of their way to work with you on scheduling. Rosa especially is a sweetheart. Dr. Nguyen is efficient and wants to work with you on what works to help get you or keep you out of pain. He takes what you think into consideration instead of just dismissing it. And like I said he is just beyond nice, his bedside manner is a 10/10. I found it hard to believe a doctor this great had so little reviews, but then I noticed a ton of hidden reviews at the bottom of the page. Yelp has a faulty algorithm that hides valid reviews quite often, If you google it, you will find a ton of stuff about it. So I usually ignore the "hidden" part and take all reviews and my own intuition into account when reading them, I think we all can tell a real review from a fake one, am I right? The rest of the reviews seemed to agree with my own experience at this office. In conclusion. This doc is amazing, I definitely recommend. He doesn't treat you like your are a cog in a money machine, and is understanding if you make a mistake or two. You would not regret coming to this office.

I used to be a tired person. My joints hurt a lot, but now I think I got better. Thanks to them, I can do sport again freely and smoothly. Moving has never been easier for me. They are amazing.

It’s awesome what you can learn, sometimes hospitals aren’t the answer. What happens in your back or body can all be caused by something off in your spine, aka your nerves. Def. recommend !

I had horrible pain for a few days and I called every day different doctors. I had been fortunate in not experiencing this pain before and never needed to see a specialist and then I had to look for one. No one gave me an emergency appointment. I found them on yelp and called directly, Rosa was extremely kind and understanding she told me to come in. Everybody loves their job and are so friendly and gentle. Dr. Bao explained everything competently and did not rush. I'm so happy to have found this peaceful place :-)

I use to have the worst lower back pain until I was referred to this place. Friendly staff, fast treatment . I highly recommend and very affordable place. Thank you so much for fixing me .

My dad is 53 and suffered from lower back pain .It's severe and every specialist I have taken him to has not only wasted my time but made his pains worst! We then heard about University Spine and Pain Center from my cousin who also had bad back pain and claims this placed cured her and she was right! They immediately put him on a treatment plan and his mobility increased significantly. He said about after 1 1/2 weeks the pain has vanished significantly .The doctor is very sensitive and informative and I now understand what is happening with my dads body. He feels relief in his back and can participate in day to day activities with no complaints! I highly recommend this center to anyone who suffers from continuous pain.

Booking an appointment was the best thing I could have done. After being rear ended, I knew my back was going to suffer a bit. It seemed like an inconvenience, but once I came here I knew it'd be ok. I feel way better and I appreciate the services!

Was having back issues from my job carrying around kegs and other heavy items on a daily basis. A friend recommended I check these guys out and they did wonders to ease my back pain. With their pleasant demeanor and professional service they are definitely worth a visit if you have any back problems.
