List of Usc Neurological Surgery's Reviews
If you have good PPO insurance DO NOT visit Keck Medicine of USC, Neurology Department. I was very impressed with the doctor I met, super informative, supportive, and listened well. The physicians billing staff billed the new patient office visit as an outpatient hospital visit. Before my insurance would cover, I had to pay my high deductible plus a facility fee for walking across their lobby and to the elevator to the Neurology Department. Working in the healthcare industry for 30+ years, I understand the justification for a higher priced new patient (baseline) office visit, but not over + $1000.00. What's unfortunate here is that the physicians are tied to the hospital setting and so can bill as outpatient and facility fees. The physicians say its the hospital and the hospital says its the physicians, no luck. Lesson learned, this happened in 2021 and I'm still searching for a neurologist with sub-specialty in MS not tied to a hospital setting.
I'm so frustrated with USC. I've been working with them for over 4 months to get my per authorization for my procedure. I was ensured MULTIPLE times that I would have it approved but today I received a phone call that my procedure scheduled on August 26 could not proceed. 3 days before after being assured everything would work out!!! I'm sick. This is so horrific. I also find out today that they have only been working on it for 3 weeks. I've been calling for weeks to confirm and supposedly NO-ONE has their direct phone because everyone is moving yet that voicemails don't indicate that they aren't able to access their messages. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm so upset and angry that I put my faith and trust in them to help me and it's getting me more frustration than anything right now.
So disappointed, was referred by my medical gruop for almost 3 weeks, called several times in neuro Dept but no answer, went tru operator , patient relation, online appointment, left messages in the dept. No return call, so still no appointment. Called my medical group to refer me somewhere else since I am not getting through even with the help of medical group and insurance company. I have not encountered such Waste of time trying to get an appointment; no one seems to care in this neuro dept of USC!
Takes 4 months to get an appointment WITH TELE HEALTH APPOINTMENTS.CLEARLY, they are taking on too many patients. There is NEVER an answer on the appointment line, when I finally got an email from Ms. Hill, she didn't bother responding with an explanation as to why my ORDERS FOR OTHER DOCTORS from APRIL/MAY was scheduled in SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER. A person could DIE with waits like that for neurological assessment.I transferred to Keck from Cedars "for more individualized attention and a neurological team." Jokes on me.
Very poor center doesn't verify patient insurance benefits before you get infusion a year later and I get sent to collections not even cutting edge I have friends with the same disability getting current clinical trials That was never offered. Never going back

Very well organized, awesome staff and most importantly the BEST doctor, which is Dr Zada. He's an amazing doctor, super confident in his work (he knows exactly what he's doing unlike many other surgeons), and super down to earth and friendly. He did perform my surgery (removing a pituitary tumor) and thank God I had no complications. I'm glad I chose to go with him since I had other consultations with 2 different doctors but the level comfort and confidence he gave me on the first consultation was something I didn't get from other doctors. I highly recommend him!!!
Nice and clean good customer service I like this made me feel welcome keep up the good work
When I was first sent here a little over a year ago it was not my first, second, or even third choice. However, after going thru cerebral coiling surgery and spending a few days there I couldn't have been any happier that this is where my u esurance sent me. Staff, from the admitting nurse all the way to the lady who wheeled me out to the car, were awesome.
Worst bedside Manner !!! Go see someone else!! She is a bully and talks down to patients..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
