List of Charlene Reimnitz's Reviews
I'm writing this review for anyone considering seeing Dr. Reimnitz. After reading many positive reviews I had somewhat high hopes walking into her office. My hopes continued to grow while I was looking at her wall of diplomas and a smiling picture of her holding babies. I naively thought her accreditation and seemingly warm photos would result in a doctor who would listen to my issues and navigate a solution. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I've heard people comment on how some doctors weren't taught bedside manner, but I didn't know what that meant until I met Dr. Reimnitz. I experienced the condescending and judgmental attitude other Yelp reviewers mentioned here. I will not go into detail, but suffice to say I left the clinic emotionally distraught and cried in my car for half an hour before driving home. The experience was so unsettling it stayed with me for years (I saw her in 2018). Thankfully, I was able to find a solution to the issues I was having from doctors who actually listened and funny enough gave the opposite of Dr. Reimnitz advice (which was essentially "there's no solution, stay on birth control until you want kids.") I hope Dr. Reimnitz gets a healthy dose of humbleness. The combination of her demeanor (I'm a doctor; you're a simpleton) and outdated practices is dangerous and may negatively impact her patients life choices and health (as it almost did mine) for a lifetime. Please be careful.
So bad! Don't go to her. I have never been the same after a surgery with her. I never recovered. She was a fake and pressuring me to do procedures I didn't want to do. . Takes pictures of people's insides on personal phone during surgery. She was surprised when I asked for them afterwards. Massive infection after surgery. Blood transfusions from blood loss during hospital stay. ER visits after release. She acts differently after surgery, she tells you she can't help you and cold. She will trick you into surgery because is desperate for business and $$. Stay away

Dr. Reimnitz is amazing! She is knowledgeable and helpful. She’ll answer your questions honestly and quickly and explains why, which is helpful for someone like me who tends to worry. She delivered my first baby, and we were laughing and dancing to the music during delivery! My only complaint is that that she has retired that part of her practice and won’t be delivering my second.
Dr.Reimnitz, Is an amazing Dr. I have had her for over 25 years as my OB/GYN and she delivered both of my children. I have had nothing short of the most exceptional care through any issues and now into peri-menopause. She always knows how to speak with me when she knows I am worried and can definitely calm my nerves. I feel like I am talking to a very close friend. My daughter has recently started seeing her and after 3 Dr.'s told her that she had to live with a certain issue. Dr. Reimnitz had a consultation with her and said she absolutely does not. She performed a corrective surgery and completely changed my daughters life and confidence level. I am grateful for her compassion and care and her genuine concern for her patients well being both physical and mental.
This review is long overdue. I met Dr. Reimnitz back in 2011/2012 when she had me waiting over an hour after my appointment was scheduled. During that time, I was suffering greatly since I was 10 years of age with horrible (and I mean horrible) period pain. She recommended that I get a transvaginal ultrasound to see what was going on inside my uterus (at this time I was about 21 years old). When she got the results, she sat me down in her office (while she rushed through the diagnosis) and said it "looks like adenomyosis" with really, no other context. She said it was incurable and the only thing I could do was take medication or go on birth control. I took medication for the next 9 years of my life. Now, 2019 and 30 years of age, I decided to go back to her to talk about my possible egg count and my nervousness of trying for pregnancy due to the adenomyosis. Well, being very concerned, I met with her looking for some answers and she diagnosed me (without ANY tests and just sitting across from her in her office) with PCOS. WHAT? - I thought, "where did this come from?" I didn't have ANY signs of PCOS, so she printed me out a document that had info all about PCOS (which is quite alarming if you're trying to get pregnant), and allowed me to ask maybe 1 more question. So I did. I asked her about my egg count as I was very concerned that being 30, my egg count would be quite low. She smiled and said "you have plenty of eggs," no sense of empathy whatsoever, and then she sent me on my way. Not only did she send me on my way, but on my way out she even said "see you next time you're pregnant!" I was mortified. I just got "diagnosed" with PCOS, THEN I was told to read a pamphlet on it and that she'd see me when I was pregnant? I called my friend in tears after telling her about the diagnosis and she was appalled that I was diagnosed without any tests. She suggested I get another opinion, so I did. I went to a different OBGYN who specialized in fertility and he did MANY tests on me to get to the bottom of what I had. Turned out I DON'T have adenomysis and never did (it was really endometriosis), I DON'T have PCOS and I DO have a very low egg count. For the past year I've been working with my current OBGYN to fix all of these things and even just had surgery for stage 4 (most severe stage) endometriosis. My advise to anyone who is thinking of seeing Dr. Reimnitz is that you do a good amount of research and if you are ever diagnosed, I URGE YOU to please get a second opinion. For 9 years I had thought I had adenomysis and I never did. This was 9 years of my life I could have had the surgery for endometriosis and the possibility of a pain free life. I really hate writing this review but I feel like I do need to warn others. Please be aware.
I find it very sad that Dr. Reimnitz is not adequately informed about diastasis recti when so many women experience it. When I told her I wanted to see a PT she said you really don't need to, just work the core. She told me I could do any exercise including crunches which I am now learning is absolutely NOT ok and probably why I steal haven't healed my diastasis recti even 12 months postpartum. I so wish I would have had an obgyn who would have properly informed me about this condition.
Dr. Reimnitz delivers!!! She's the best Obgyn doctor in the bay area. My kids were all delivered by her. She'd come within minutes - even though she didn't have to. She's a very good listener. She brings calmness and oh, we're so glad we found her, she's so knowledgeable. Her staff is also hospitable and nice. The office is always clean, homey and pleasant. Thank you Dr. Reimnitz!!!
Well, I'm always happy when I can give a great review. After 4 kids my OB retired on me and I've kinda been in the wind ever since. Glad to say I've landed. I've seen 3 other Obgyn over the last 3 years, thought a professional, clean efficient office was a thing of the past, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this amazing, bright patient insightful thorough doctor.
