El Camino Health - Los Gatos Hospital's Online Review Report Card

The people who answer the phones in the X-ray department are no very well informed. I called last week to make sure that they were on Saturday and to make sure that my doctor had sent over the orders for my X-rays. The person I talked to said the X-ray lab was open and my orders were in the system. I showed up at 10:00am on Saturday and the person in X-rays preceded to tell me that they don't do X-rays on Saturdays. Very frustrating since I don't live close by. Being a hospital I would have thought, that they'd know information like that when a client calls in.

I had my shoulder surgery at El Camino hospital in Los Gatos and Dr Kullar was the surgeon and shiva (RN) was my operating room nurse. They were both awesome at their jobs. Nurse Sheva made me comfortable and assured me about the operation and really come me down. She was so professional and expert on her job and I am grateful to have her as my operating room nurse and Doctor Kullar as a my surgeon. After She told me that she chose Dr. Kullar to operate on her leg surgery, it gave me additional comfort and assurance from having him operate on my shoulder. Two thumbs up to both Dr Kullar and RN, Sheva my operating room nurse. Keep up the great care and work. I strongly recommend them and I hope you never have to go to hospital, but if you do, be lucky enough to have these two doctor and Nurse to be your care giver.

I have come here multiple times over the years for checkups and found the staff always helpful and courteous. One note...GPS takes you to the emergency section and you need to drive around to the main entrance.

I went into the emergency room, due to an asthma attack. The staff was amazing, caring, compassionate and professional. I'd like to acknowledge, Dr Brehnam Curry, Nurse Jeremy, and Respiratory Therapist Micky. For going above and beyond their call of duty. To help improve my breathing situation as quickly as possible. Review is for el camino health specifically: i made a virtual appointment with my PCP that iv been seeing for over 10 years. I now live in another part of california so i opted in for a virtual visit. (i have been in the ER 6 times this past year). I unexpectedly got called into work to take a trip to chicago. I wanted the appointment changed due to me working 24/7 while on these work trips, but if they absolutely could not change it, then i would take it from chicago, not an issue. The lady starts yelling at me over the phone telling me the call is recorded and that I am not allowed to take the call from chicago (while i reside in ca). I thought this was really unprofessional. She told me next availability is 4 months from today. She also told me they TRACK WHERE I AM DURING THESE VIDEO VISITS. I thought this was so inappropriate. Isn't this a VIOLATION of my privacy??? She then transferred me to my doctors office. My doctor told me she can see me on Thursday with no issues while I take the call before my work trip.

Needed a colonoscopy, and the gastroenterologist scheduled me with El Camino. Cost estimate came back at over $26k for just the hospital charges, for what is a 20-minute procedure, typically; while my insurance is in-network and would have covered all but $3.5k of that, reading other reviews here, seems that it'd be probable to receive a surprise bill after the fact for an out-of-network anesthetist; seemingly no one could answer in any sort of definitive manner what the costs were actually expected to be. This being a level of insanity commensurate with British comedy, elected to cancel and look elsewhere for care.

I went to the ER here twice, and I have to say this is what healthcare should be like. They were kind, attentive, fast, kept me up to date on what they were doing, made sure I was comfortable, and it was as pleasant as a visit to the ER could get. I wasn't having a heart attack or something, so I should have been lower down on the priority list, but they still got to me almost immediately. In my eyes, their ER is the gold standard by which other ER's should be measured.

Heartless souls who work here. Pure demons. The demands you to wear a mask, however many of them don't comply with their own rules. They have zero care about those who have breathing issues. The receptionist just wanted to be combative. I'm not interested. Just stay away from me and I won't catch your diseases.

This review is long overdue. I had an excellent experience giving birth at El Camino Hospital in Los Gatos nearly a year ago. As a first-time mother, I had heard many concerning stories about hospital deliveries, but my experience here was the complete opposite. From the moment I arrived on Christmas Day, I was met with warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care. I was admitted promptly, and the nursing staff was consistently kind, supportive, and focused on my comfort. My physician, Dr. Solimani, is an exceptional professional. She ensured that everything progressed appropriately, with careful timing and clear guidance, which gave me great confidence throughout the delivery. After my baby was born, I was transferred to a postpartum room where the level of care continued to be outstanding. The nurses regularly checked on both me and my baby, assisted with newborn care, and made sure I was well supported, including providing meals and guidance whenever needed. I would especially like to recognize our night nurse, Joy. Her experience, calm demeanor, and kindness were invaluable. On the second night, when my baby was inconsolable and I had gone nearly 40 hours without sleep, she was the only one able to soothe him. She took the time to comfort, swaddle, and care for him so that I could finally rest. Her support made a significant difference in my recovery. Even after being discharged, I found myself missing the hospital environment. The sense of being so well cared for and knowing that both my baby and I were safe and supported made this an unforgettable experience. I am truly grateful to El Camino Hospital and its staff.
