Elizabeth Basham's Online Review Report Card

I was running just a few mins for my appointment. The office admin was really rude upon arrival. First they said they would check me in. And then when another staff said something to the front desk lady, she then changed her story and said I had to reschedule because I was late for 10 min. No one from this office ever called and notified beforehand that this was the rule. And I got there right at that 10 min time mark. I understand that the clinic wants to stay on time. However if they have such harsh rules that would significantly impact the patients scheduled for lost of time on the efforts to travel all the way to the clinic, it would be only fair that they equally rigorously informed the patients on the existence of such rules. This should not be how a normal clinic is run. Not ever coming back.

I saw Dr. Basham for about a year to try to figure out why I had month-long periods and extreme pain. She did not seem to care about my pain or concerns. I mentioned that birth control pills had a history of giving me extreme depression, yet she insisted that was the only option. When none of the pills she put me on helped, she told me I was “healthy” and “shouldn’t worry,” despite the fact that my pain was interfering with my everyday life because it was getting so bad. The last time I saw her, I assume she didn’t look at my chart before the appointment because she didn’t even know that I was on birth control (even though she prescribed it). I had an entire list of questions and she left the appointment without letting me ask them. She seems smart and fine for routine exams, but if you are dealing with any type of pain, she does not seem to take it seriously.

The best doctor I have ever chosen. She is professional and knowledgeable, with a nice personality as being polite, respectful, and always listens. Dr Basham makes determined decisions for the sake of patients' benefits while still keeps an open mind. Easy to get an appointment for urgency or problem visists.

Dr. Basham is absolutely wonderful. She is thorough and overall outstanding. Bedside manners are lovely and professional. She makes you feel comfortable and ensures your understand what to expect. Furthermore, it's hard to find a doctor who truly doesn't make you feel bad when you ask questions and this is not the case with her, so refreshing! Thank you Dr. Basham. I feel like I'm in good hands. God bless!

I became a patient of Dr. Basham's earlier this year and cannot recommend her highly enough. I found her at once to be caring and thorough and I am grateful for having found her. She referred me to a wonderful gynecological surgeon and assisted him with my procedure. While I know from friends that most doctors at Los Olivos Women's Medical are excellent, I feel Dr. Basham is exceptional, just as the other reviewers have noted.

Dr. Basham is a thoughtful and kind provider who is generous with her time and patience during uncomfortable moments. That's all I could ask for in this appointment!

Great experience. Very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. This is only my second gynecology appointment ever so I still get very nervous, but she was kind and made the whole process go very smoothly.

Dr. Basham has been highly responsive and helpful during my current health issues that have arisen. She was not afraid to ask her colleague for a second opinion and is highly responsive. She takes time out of her day to answer my questions and give recommendations. Her bedside manner is wonderful. She is warm but direct. So glad I found an amazing gyno!
