Sweetest pediatrician - my girls are so lucky to have her as their pediatrician. She's kind, patience, and very knowledgable

Dr. Copeland has been seeing my kiddos for over a decade. My eldest is a pretty typical kid and so the checkups have gone as expected. When he went through a bought of depression, she was kind and considerate to his needs. My youngest was born with some developmental delays and the Dr. has been invaluable with recommendations and helping us steer him to the help needed.

Horrible experience with her. We were wrongly advised to let our boy cry through the night. It was a horrible experience for our child and until this day I regret it. It has left a scar in our lives. She was immature and heartless and we were naive and young and stupid to accept her advise.

Dr. Copeland is our pediatrician for both my toddler and my infant and we are truly happy. We are blessed to have her as our doc. As Long as you make your next appt at the end of your current appointment, there has never been an issue of getting in to see her. She is so attentive, informed, caring, and really has a way with kids. Her nurse an office staff are fantastic as well!

Update, I thought about just deleting my previous review, but I wanted to give credit back to Dr. Copeland. She truly is a wonderful pediatrician. My child's next visit, she directly addressed and apologized for the difficulty getting in to see her. I appreciate her talking to me and finding solutions to help me with my complaint. I have in the past recommended her and will continue, all the doctor's and staff in this office are wonderful and I'm happy to see Dr. C or anyone else that is available.

I'm disappointed, my kids have been going to Dr. Copeland for 3 years now and I love her, she is absolutely a great pediatrician. I would give full stars, but making appointments or trying to schedule anything with her is beyond frustrating. She is only in the office 3x a week, making scheduling an appointment with her more difficult. Also, every single time I've made a wellness appointment with both of my children, I always get a call just before saying that we need to reschedule, and then the only available time she has left is not convenient for me, leaving me with little time to adjust my schedule. Also, since we have been going to her every summer she takes a 6 weeks vacation, and forget trying to get in with her before or after, which happens to always be around my son's wellness appointment and we are always bumped to another time. And if I ever need to see her for in between wellness check ups, she is not in the office or fully booked, luckily the other doctors in the office are really great. But I get frustrated that she is never available or every appointment I make in advance gets changed over and over again. BUT, I love Dr. Copeland, she is truly a great physician. So my dilemma... do I stick with her and push through the frustration of making appointments or do I find a new doctor and hope that I don't have appointment problems and that the new doctor will be just as good as Dr.C is, I really want to keep going to her, but just wish she was more available.

I would give Dr. Copeland a one star because of her unavailability when you need her. I read the good reviews and checked her background and thought she is the perfect doctor for my daughter. However, our experience with her was not good at all. She works a limited time a week and therefore you need to wait a month or two to see her. She is fully booked is the answer I get each time I try to get my daughter to see her for her sickness.There are two occasions that I called the office and explained why my daughter needed to Dr. Copeland sooner. The office staff left messages for the doctor to decide. Unfortunately for the two times I requested sooner appointment, Dr. Copeland replied with a NO. She does not have anything available. If you can not get an appointment with her, why do you want to put her as your child's physician?

We LOVE Dr. C!!! My husband and I had chosen another pediatrician for our son, but when we met Dr C in the hospital after he was born, we asked if she would take us on as her patients. We are so grateful that she did!! Our son wound up with acid reflux and Dr C has been so amazing with dealing with not only his health, but us, his scared first-time parents. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. Her nurse Kim is amazing too, she has dealt with our insurance on getting pre-authorizations for certain medicines and would up getting our co-pay down in the process. LOVE!

Where to start? I knew the power of Yelp, but to be able to find the BEST doctor EVER through here, I never would've thought! I signed up to change my insurance during the open enrollment period in September a little hesitant because I didn't know what to expect and what doctor to go with. I finally decided to take the plunge and make the drastic change after my son was born and being quite unsatisfied with his assigned pediatrician. After doing my research (mainly through Yelp), I found Dr. Copeland.My son, who was four months at the time when he first met Dr. Copeland, was having sleep problems. She placed him on a sleep schedule and gave us step-by-step instructions on how to impliment the schedule. She was supportive and optimistic things will be okay and he will be on a schedule in no time. Low and behold, by following Dr. Copeland's directives, my baby is the BEST sleeper now and we are getting much needed sleep ourselves. Dr. Copeland is a lifesaver and there was no amount of money we wouldn't have paid for her. She is the best and we are looking forward to having a long relationship with her.

I don't know how anyone was able to get ahold of the office to schedule an appt. I have tried multiple times and after being on hold for over 10 minutes I hung up. I can't imagine needing a doc. and not being able to get through. Maybe going through the Palo Alto Med. Foundation wasn't the right number?? 408 524 5750?
