my name is Lou Hernandez Dr. Oloff did my toe surgery during the pandemic shutdown. to say that I was shocked at how well it turned out is an understatement. i have full movement in my toe even though Dr. Oloff estimated I would only regain about 1/2 because of the damaged cartilage. I wasn't able to get back in for my final appointment but it had nothing to do with the Doctor. I was on a schedule to leave California. I would recommend Dr.Oloff to anyone . Thanks Doc for giving me the ability to walk pain free again

My trusted friend and I drove an hour to see Dr. Olaff of Los Gatos Foot and Ankle for some limitations with my right ankle which prevented me from sitting on my knees without pain for my daily exercises. Upon arriving 30 minutes early for an after lunch appointment, Dr. Olaff begrudgingly let us into her waiting room early while informing us that I had the wrong appointment time, and continued her personal activities while she had us wait an hour to see her, despite the early return of her support staff, rather than be flexible and see us sooner. Her waiting room walls displayed photos of some apparently popular athletes who had received her services previously.I explained my problem of limited flexibility and pain to her and my friend attempted to clarify specifics at which Dr. Olaff interrupted and admonished her. My friend, who is familiar with my injury and who has a medical background, accompanied me to help me make my complaint clear to the doctor as well as to understand medical terms and concepts, so both of us were stunned with the doctor's harsh response. Dr. Olaff inquired if my injury otherwise limited my activities and I responded "no". She immediately dismissed any potential remedy for me explaining that I had no limited flexibility in her opinion, and that most of her patients are professional athletes who need special expertise, and since I didn't have those requirements there was nothing she would recommend for improvement of my situation.I questioned her decision that I not sit on my knees as the "solution" to my injury. I thought to myself "Really? Is this like the joke where the doctor says if doing that hurts, then don't do it?", but she held firm. I inquired repeatedly if there was anything I could do to improve my situation. Eventually, she half-heartedly made some suggestions for physical therapy.My experience with Dr. Olaff was clearly disappointing. I expected more consideration for driving the distance to see her and being left in a waiting room for an hour, not to be admonished and not taken seriously because I am not a famous athlete with an interesting enough pain.My takeaway? If you're a famous athlete, see Dr. Olaff and she'll probably try to help you, and ask for a "thank you" photo for her waiting room wall. If you're not a famous athlete, save your time and dignity and see someone else who may actually treat you respectfully and help you with your injury.

I LOVE Dr. Oloff and her staff!!! She helped give me my life back after living with extreme pain for 10 years. My surgery was flawless, follow up was amazing, my healing went so smoothly and I had a very intense and major foot surgery. I feel like I have my life back!!! Thank You Thank You & Thank You!! The ENTIRE team is one of a kind. I am forever grateful

I have been seeing Dr.Oloff and Dr.nix for 6 plus years. First i will start off with her staff. Chelsea and Grisel are amazing always very attentive and understanding. These two go above and beyond to make sure all patients are well taken care of, Always polite on the phone and in the office. As far as Dr. Oloff I would never let any other doctor operate on my foot.. She amazing !!! I saw Dr.Nix for one of my post op apts and she is the sweetest ... I highly recommend this office.

I have had many botched foot surgeries. I finally went to a surgeon that said she would not touch my foot and the ONLY one she recommended was Dr. Joan Olaff. Thank goodness for that recommendation. My foot finally feels great! No more pain. Thank you, Dr. Olaff!

I've been coming to Dr. Oloff's office for years. This woman knows what she is doing, and her staff are always caring and competent. Chelsea is a great listener and I always hear patient's sharing their life stories with her while I'm in the waiting room. It really does feel like a family environment. Grisel is patient and the best at doing my nails. Thanks, ladies!
