List of John Rashkis's Reviews
Dr. Rashkis is a great Physician. His front office has always been helpful and super nice.
He was rude, dismissive and uncaring. He should retire.
My first primary care visit in 4 years and the WORST experience I've ever had. Dr. Rashkis was rude, dismissive and very unhelpful. I didn't feel heard, he negated all of my health confirms. He literally challenged everything I mentioned. For example, I told him I've been having a skin issue that's lasted several months and he told me to use lotion and that everyone has dry skin!!! I'm female wtf of course I've tried that, you can't just refer me to a dermatologist? He was a giant waste of my time and money. He should retire already - literally terrible.
Today my dad was discharged. I went to pick up all medications only to realize they would not be able to fill prescriptions for Oxy due to the MD ordered capsules and would not call pharmacy to change to tablets. The erythromycin was not filled due to per pharmacist stated most pharmacies do not carry that specific antibiotic. The gabapentin also was not filled due to pharmacist stated there was not a full description of medication. Dr rashkis was notified several times from nurse and from the pharmacy but stated he already signed off on patient so he would not call pharmacy for any changes. (My dad had not even been discharged 24 hours)I literally spent my day back and forth trying to get this resolved. At some point I was told if I drove to San Jose I could pick up the oxy. When I arrived the San Jose Pharmacy stated they could not fill because they only had the oxy in tablet form and that they did not carry capsules. They said most places do not carry capsules. The pharmacist stated she called the M.D but would not change the form of medication. So basically my dad did not get any medication until almost 10pm. On top of that he is in miserable pain. Honestly, I'm disgusted with this doctor Rashkis. This should not have happened. Someone should of made sure all medications would be available. The M.D also should of helped solve this issue. but apparently did not care. So we will see if there are any repercussions with my dads medical condition. As if my dad has not been through enough. All the nurses and rehab were great. Only to have this M.D turn my dads experience into a nightmare on discharge. My dad has been in/out of the hospital for 3 months and by far this M.D is the worst I've come across. I
I won't even refer to this doctor by name. He is an absolutely horrible doctor who will either make you physically worse or mentally worse. He is arrogant (as shown by telling a grieving family that my mother's cancer was "very aggressive" and giving no details DESPITE not even having talked with the oncologist), not compassionate at all (as shown by his lack of ability to take the time to address family's questions and his cold demeanor during every conversation), and he is undeserving of the MD after his name. I'm not a hateful person, but I hate this man for the additional, UNNECESSARY pain and trauma he's inflicted on my family.
I am so surprised at the negative ratings for Dr. Rashkis. For almost 2 years I suffered with extreme abdominal pain and vomiting that could only be relieved at the ER with meds through an IV. I was at Good Sam or El Camino ER at least once a month. Other times I was able to tough it out writhing in pain at home. The ER would give me the IV and send me home. Neither my PCP nor my GI doctor ever went beyond saying it was probably just gastritis. Neither did any tests to find out why this was going on for 2 years as I lost 20 pounds. On Sept. 9 2020 I went to El Camino LG emergency room at 2am. Dr. Rashkis was on duty and fortunately decided to admit me for further testing and observation. He ordered an xray with contrast of my stomach and intestines. I had emergency surgery at 4 pm to remove what turned out to be a blockage in my small intestines. The mass turned out to be Lymphoma. This is the hallmark of a good doctor. To investigate the root of the problem that had gone on for 2 yrs and not just fix the symptoms and send me on my way until the next time. He basically saved my life. I was so lucky that he was on duty that night. From the bottom of my heart....Thank you Dr. Rashkis.
I chose this Dr as a PCP. Needed to get a referral to a physiotherapist. I set an appointment and went in. Low and behold... Even though it's a county directive to wear masks at this point... Not a single person in the office is wearing one. When I asked about it I was told "we don't wear masks here". This Dr and his whole office are colossally irresponsible. They are putting patients at risk. If this is how they act in a pandemic... I want no part of this.
I am updating my review to advise I still get great treatment from Dr.Rashkis and his staff. I am seen promptly, they always answer the phone promptly and are Covid compliant. Dr.Raskis is knowledgeable, patient and kind. He also treats my husband and son.
Appointed by Hospital as the attending MD for ER patient. Wouldn't return calls. Ignorant to technology that phones record all incoming calls. He claims to have called numerous times, a lie. Then he has the nerve to leave a voicemail with the same lies. Avoid this person.
Worst experience ever, everything that he said was wrong with me turned out to be okay when I had second opinions at other doctors. Awful doctor, please don't go there.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
