After the birth of my first child had some surprise turns, I was looking for a gynecologist with whom I could really talk so we could work as a team together. Dr. Silverman was that trusted physician and I’ve been with him for almost 18 years. He is both kind and informative, taking the time to explain results and procedures. I am so grateful for his expertise.
Best gynecologist I have four kids last child was with dr Silverman he is super nice I had best experience with him .
Dr Silverman is a gem . I feel very fortunate to have had him deliver both of my children . He truly cares about every patient .
The most wonderful, skilled, doctor. Seamless saw me through two pregnancies - with the utmost professionalism. Thank you!
Dr. Silverman is a phenomenal doctor. His bedside manner, knowledge and expertise are great. We were first time parents and he always patiently answered all our questions. He also advised us well at critical times and made us feel confident in his advice. You won't regret going to him. My wife and I are grateful we found him.
Update: I ended up leaving this doctor in the 3rd trimester of my pregnancy. He was very aware of my stance on natural health, and avoiding unnecessary medical interference, and tried to encourage me to drink the crappy orange drink, full of TERRIBLE ingredients, for the gestational diabetes test. I asked, what happens if I test positive? He says, then we discuss your diet and change your dietary habits. I explained that I already eat the way he would suggest, and there was no gestational diabetes in my family, and this was my FIFTH baby... I was not drinking that crap! He caved in, but talked me into doing an extra ultrasound!!! I agreed, but I should NOT have!!! Extra ultrasounds are not necessary and should NOT be done, unless absolutely necessary (please research for yourself!). The final straw was when he was pushing the Tdap vaccine and flu shot on me!!! Vaccines during pregnancy have NEVER been tested for safety!!! It says so right on the VACCINE PRODUCT INSERT!!!! (Not the convenient, for them, "summary sheet" they hand out). Please research this as well. LearnTheRisk .org has great information, and also check out #CDCwhistleblower. He's just another pharma-educated doctor, with no common sense. I'm so glad that I am an experienced mom, who already had older kids - the oldest was 18 years at the time, and back then it was KNOWN that vaccinating during pregnancy is dangerous to the fetus!!! There are known neurotoxins and carcinogenic ingredients in vaccines... please don't blindly listen to this doctor, or any other doctor. Anyway, I found a midwife that was well educated and respectful. My home-birth was AMAZING!!! And, I TRULY had the BEST experience for my last birthing experience!! I HIGHLY recommend new moms interview some midwives and consider this great option. If I knew years ago, what I know now... ALL of my kids would have been born at home. Watch the documentary: "The Business of Being Born" too! :) Yes, folks we live in zombie-land, where most blindly listen to government institutions, and Rockefeller Medicine protocols. Basically a world of indoctrinated sheep. Idiocracy! LOL At least we can laugh ;) Original review: After already giving birth to 4 children, ages ranging from 5 - 17 yrs of age... I find myself with "surprise!", #5 is on the way!!! Although, I was content with my last OB here in the Bay Area (the other children were all born in Canada), I decided that I wanted the BEST for my FINAL pregnancy, and delivery. After reading all the fabulous reviews for Dr. Silverman, and then also running into a friends OB doctor, that also RAVED about Dr. Silverman... I knew he was the perfect baby Doc for me! ;)I've seen him twice now, and his office runs like a well-oiled machine. I hardly wait at all for my appointments... and they do ultrasounds right there in the office!! Very, very, very well organized office, and all the staff is very FRIENDLY.Dr. Silverman is kind, genuine, caring... I leave each appointment feeling so happy that I found him!
Amazing doctor! He was on vacation when I went into labor and his on call doctor was terrible. I had to demand the hospital OB who saved mine and my baby's life. While in the ICU and baby in the NICU Dr Silverman showed up and checked and me and the baby for several days. He's really the perfect doctor. I thought I would be uncomfortable with a male doctor but he's so kind and considerate it didn't even cross my mind after I met him. He's very sweet and knowledgeable. If you are pregnant and can get in to see him you will be in great hands.
I have been a patient in the Los Olivos Womens Medical Group since I was 15 years old and had a diagnosis of anovulatory bleeding. I am now 56. Every MD in this practice is exceptional, and no one has a chip on their shoulder. Each MD has a sub specialty, so if as a patient of one of the MD's, you have a condition that is a focus of another MD, they bring them into the discussion. AWESOME! When it came to fertility issues, Dr Trobaw was brought in for me, as that was his area of absolute nerdiness. :) And if you call the labor and delivery departments of the hospitals they deliver in, the nursing staff will have nothing but accolades about ALL the doctors in the practice. I was referred to Dr Silverman after my longtime OBGYN in the practice, Dr Pearson, retired. Dr Pearson hand picked Dr Silverman for me based on my history. Dr Pearson referred my mom to a different OBGYN in the practice based on her history. Dr Silverman has been my MD now for 15 years and has been nothing short of FABULOUS! Caring, sincere, a good listener, approaches treatment suggestions as if you were a family member. All of his care is thoughtful and medically precise. No question is a stupid question. I am a stickler when it comes to MD's and medical care, having been raised by a nurse mother. I have, unfortunately, needed higher intervention in my OBGYN care with infertility, preterm labor, urinary incontinence, and rectocele. Dr Silverman and the entire Los Olivos OBGYN team are providers I cannot recommend highly enough!
I have been very fortunate to have Dr. Silverman as my provider. I trust him with my health and with birth of my son. He is extremely knowledgeable, very caring, taking time to listen and simply the best at diagnosing and providing treatment. As a doctor myself I admire his ability to be a great at what he does.
Dr. Silverman was one of the first doctors I met when I moved here to the Bay Area years ago. He is compassionate and takes time with each of his patients. One of the first things I noticed in the patient room was that he has pictures of babies he has delivered on the walls. I think that speaks volumes to him and the kind of person he is. He cares deeply about each patient and isn't just there to do his job and get on to the next person. He is easy to talk to and will try to address any concerns you have and will take the time to listen to you. I would highly suggest having him as your OBGYN if you want someone who will be with you every step of the way. He has a reassuring, calming personality that puts you at ease the moment you walk in his office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
