List of Massoud Mahmoudi's Reviews
Dr. Mahmoudi is the very best Allergist Dr. I have been to in my life and in reading Nichole's review, I wonder if she got the Dr. correctly. I have had environmental allergies for over 40 years and went to 4 Allergy doctors before finding Dr. Mahmoudi around 10 years ago. He is the greatest! When I went in for testing that usually cost around $1,000.+, he spent 3 plus hours with me and the bill was less than half what I expected!insurance is what you get from what your policy is and mine covers most of the bill. Dr. Mahmoudi actually listens and comes up with solutions that work with you and recommends what others steps you can take to alleviate your symptoms. Example... I was having a series of sinus headaches. The usual treatment for this is antibiotics but Dr. Mahmoudi suggested an alternative of prescription nasal spray that stopped my headaches from coming back but I never have to fool with the side effects of having antibiotics in my system that I really didn't need. I also realized that I might have had a bit of Sleep Apnea as I awoke groggy but since using the nasal spray, I am alert as I am going to get when I awake. On top of that, I can easily breathe through my nose all the time! With all previous Allergists, I had to take a pill or more every day and with Dr. Mahmoudi, I take one only a few times a month. It's like I don't even have allergies most of the time. Dr. Mahmoudi is one great Dr. and one great Allergist. I can even ride my motorcycle through the foothills in spring. Something I never thought I would get to do again.
Through many years I have been to many doctors and never felt as well as I am with Dr. Mahmoudi. He has time to listen to me and to help me. I recommend anyone to go see Dr. Mahmoudi. People should know how good he is.

I decided to get some allergy testing done this past fall. After coming in for my first appointment, I told his receptionist I had a new insurance and wanted to find out about my deductible before entering the room. She said it wasn't a problem, took my insurance card and called my insurance company for me. She called me up a few minutes later and assured me my deductible would apply from September to September, the month I has signed up for it. She said the amount towards my deductible for allergy testing would only be a few hundred dollars, and then the doctor himself came out to persuade me to get allergy testing done. He actually told me I shouldn't be concerned with any costs until we saw if I even had allergies, so I went in.The patient room was... gross. There was clutter and the trash was literally overflowing. The first thing that made me really uncomfortable was when the doctor pulled an old used pen from his desk to draw on my back. After aggressively scribbling a few times he said his pen wasn't working and went to find another. After he finished drawing a grid on my back, he started the scratch test to check for my reaction. I was DISGUSTED when he placed the used sharps container next to my arm beside me on the table. I asked him "is that clean?!" and he just sort of laughed.I felt really uncomfortable and decided upon leaving I wouldn't be returning for shots because I didn't trust the doctors judgment or the quality of his care.I was horrified to receive my bill a few weeks later for a whopping $458 (after the $195 my insurance company forked over)When I called my insurance company to confirm, they also mentioned my insurance deductible ran from January to December, NOT Sep-Sep as the receptionist originally told me. When I called to confront her about it, the receptionist admitted she hasn't even gotten through to my insurance company and GUESSED what she thought it would be. She apologized for her mistake, but said I would have to pay the bill either way. She basically cost me $458 at the end of the year, just before I have to start paying toward a new deductible in January. When I asked to speak with the doctor, she told me "no, he's all booked". When I tried calling again, she hung up on me! I don't think I have ever been hung up on from someone who is supposed to be a professional. I left several messages asking the doctor to please call me so we could discuss what happened, and he never returned my calls. From my experience, there is a reason the Dr has so few patients- he doesn't keep up his office well enough and his staff will do anything, even tell lies, to get you in the office and get your money. I feel that the doctor is a coward for not calling me back and has poor staff representing his business. I hope you are able to find a different doctor that will treat you with more respect!
I am a patient of Dr. Mahmoudi for the last 6 years. I am very happy with his services, and respect him w/ the knowledge. I first came to see him for my allergy, after the first visit- I decided to choose him as my primary care provider. I am very impressed with his responsibility and care for the patient. One time I was traveling and ran out of my medications. I called him and left a message for him to request a refill. Surprisingly, he responded the message about 2 hours and refilled my meds. I feel safe and comfortable with his advices. He took time and explained my medical problems. He listened to my concerns and treated me with the respect when I dont know / understand some medical problems. Come and see dr. Mahmoudi for yourself, you will know what I am talking about.I have referred all my family members and friends to Dr. Mahmoudi.

I felt very mislead at Mahmoudi’s office. His receptionist offered to call and get questions answered for me about my deductible and when she didn’t get through, she actually guessed instead of just telling me the truth. Although she later apologized for her mistake, it still cost me hundreds of dollars and they refused to modify my bill. Not only were they unclear about billing, but I could never get the doctor to call me back after leaving 3 messages. His receptionist even hung up on me the last time I tried calling! I feel that the office is unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. The worst part of my visit was when the Dr. put the used sharps container on the exam table next to my arm. I would also suggest they clean the office more thoroughly and have better practices to make the office safe and clean. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
