It's been a year since my procedure(FUT). The results have definitely exceeded my expectations! Like most people that have had the procedure done, I started loosing my hair in my 20's. It took me a long time to come to terms and realize that my hairline had receded so much, that I could no longer pretend I wasn't bolding. I tried shaving my head, but that was simply not for me. So, I decided to look into hair transplant(Talk about a journey). After many years of going back and forth, finally found Dr. Diep and his clinic.The procedure itself took the greater part of the one day. Dr. Diep and his staff were professional, and attentive to my needs. Dr. Diep explained the procedure and what to expect during and after, as well as the recovery time.The level of confidence that this procedure has given me is unmeasurable. I had two surgeries with Dr. Diep in 2021, which cost about $24,000 in total and used up around 4,000 grafts. I was left with unsatisfactory results, having poor density, a wide strip scar, misangled and unnatural implantation of grafts. The mistake I made was that I prioritized the results posted by Diep on his YouTube channel while ignoring patient reports on websites such as Reddit and Hair Restoration Network, to which Diep was recently removed from the recommended surgeon’s list by community vote. Both of my surgeries lasted about 14 hours. Dr. Diep was not present in the surgery room for the majority of my surgeries. He was there for only maybe the first 1-3 hours, doing extractions and making incisions. When Dr. Diep was removing the strip from my donor, he was tugging on it very hard, like attempting to pull apart a carpet. My strip scar is very wide and I cannot have my hair cut below an 8-guard, otherwise my scar will be visible. The bulk of surgery was completed by technicians that did not seem too experienced. During my second transplant with Diep, the technicians were asking each other acquaintance level questions such as how old each other were and whether they were married or not. They were also laughing and talking to each other most of the time as well as listening to music and singing. The grafts were implanted in row-like fashion, which does not look natural and makes my hair looks see-through in most lighting conditions. I cannot have my hair cut below an 8 guard otherwise my scar will be visible. I had to get a repair surgery from another surgeon which used up about an additional 2,000 grafts just to repair the work done by Diep. The surgeon stated that Diep angled my grafts incorrectly to the direction of my native hair. There was also speculation that the lengthy duration of my first two surgeries may have contributed to poor density due to the grafts being out of body for too long, affecting survival. When discussing my results with Diep’s management, they basically told me that they had done their job and now it was my responsibility to manage the results I got. I never received any sort of apology and I was even suggested to come in for a third paid procedure to “fix” my issues. When I refused and pressed on about the issues I had regarding my results, I was then offered a partial refund of $2,500. However, in order to receive the refund, I was asked to remove anything negative that I had written regarding my experience and to sign a non-disclosure agreement, to which I refused. For such an important, life-altering surgery, it is important to carefully do your research. My advice is to seek as many documented patient reports as possible and then make an objective decision on who the best surgeon for your needs would be.

Got my hair transplant done a year ago with Dr. Diep. My results have exceeded my expectations. Experience was great, morning extraction, afternoon implant on recipient area. Doctor Diep and the team did a fantastic job!...

18k later i have less hair then before i went in. Dr Diep is a fraud and i highly recommend you go to Turkey for $4k. So disappointed in the lack of results . I will send before and after but please ignore the 5 star reviews

Dr. John Diep and the staff were exceptionally professional and personal. I had my surgery a year ago and the results are amazing! The post-op period in my case was uncomfortable only between the third and tenth day. I know people who have had the same procedure done in India and other parts of US and have not even come close to the results that I and the friend who referred me to Dr John Diep obtained. Dr John Diep goes above and beyond to always be accessible to any questions or requests; even months after the procedure.

My Friends Experience... As an Air BB Host, I've been fortunate meet people and make friends from all over the world. Three years ago I had a guest that traveled from Australia for a Hair Transplant with Dr Diep. He said, "Mate, I've researched Hair Transplant MD's for a year and I feel the best one in the world is just down the street from your house." I still talk to him today and he calls it one of the best decisions, he ever made. My Experience... Thanks to my friend from Australia my Hair Transplant MD research was already done! In May 2022, I had a FUT #2250 Grafts with Dr Diep and my results were EXCELLENT!!! Was it Painful? Very little Pain. The beginning of the procedure, I experienced slight stinging as Dr Diep numbed the donor area in back of my head. The other 99% percent of the procedure there was no pain at all. Do my friends/ family know I had a Hair Transplant? Nope. They just think I look younger and more rested. My Advice... -- Follow the After Transplant Instructions. -- Be Patient! I started to get amazing results 3-4 months after the procedure. Before and After Pictures tell the Story Best!

I was scared to death to move forward with this procedure. So glad I moved forward. I spent over a year choosing the right surgeon. Dr. Diep is the guy!
