Jennifer Snider's Online Review Report Card

I definitely agree with all the negative reviews of this very rude doctor. She made me wait two weeks for lab results that included a needed change of dosage, and laughed at me when I told her I wanted an Internal Medicine doctor. When I said I wasn’t coming back to her, she got snippy, said “Good luck finding someone who will listen to you,” and quickly ended the call. I reported her to the patient advocate office, who agreed I had grounds for an investigation on quality-of-care issues.

Dr Snider is part of a three person team treating my husband for a rare and aggressive brain tumor. So far we're very pleased with her treatment of us, including her offering to read two new studies I found related to my husband's condition during her vacation. Most doctors so far have not been open to patient research online, but Dr Snider didn't give me the usual advice to stay off the internet. She has made me feel a part of the team searching for a cure, rather than a desperate wife grabbing at straws. Btw, We were NOT instructed to call her Dr. Snider, nor were we told we could only discuss one issue with her. Dr Snider is a blessing in our journey with this cancer and I recommend her w/out reservation. She has taken extra time to assist in referring my husband to Mayo clinic for possible treatment with this tumor. What more can we ask.

The first thing that bothered my fiance and I when we went to the first appointment was that her office has a sign stating you should always refer to her as "DR Snyderc" and never Jennifer. While trivial to most, as many doctors as we've seen that was a red flag. It's hard to even start getting comfortable with a physician that essentially demands formality at all times. She also spends essentially no time in the room with the patient. My fiancé and I ate both disabled and it takes a while to go through our health history during the first appointment, and some conditions need to be discussed at every visit if they're going to be improved or treated properly. Dr. Snyder essentially allows the discussion of one single issue per visit. I understand that doctors don't want to keep other patients waiting, but with my primary I am able to address a new problem and discuss updates on preexisting problems, and my appointments take no special scheduling,just s normal appointment length. The staff are rude at check in, and if you are even slightly late to the check in time (which is 15 minutes before your actual appointment) they will flatly refuse to see you. We were 3 minutes late to the check in time due to a backup in traffic resulting from a car crash, called and informed them off what had happened as soon as we realized it wasn't a slow light, and called again once we were passed the wreckage to give them an ETA. We arrived 3 minutes after the check in time, and we're told we were late and had missed the appointment. I prorated on my fiancé's behalf. I was told that the 15 minutes were to get weight and vitals and for the nurse to write down what the visit was in regards to. Having a general idea of how long that takes and some medical knowledge, the nurse (who was checking with Dr Snyder periodically to relay her word on the matter) the nurse and staff continued to argue with me as to if it was possible to get her vitals and reason for visit in 12 minutes rather than 15, until 10 minuets after her scheduled appointment time when we finally gave up because the offered us a cancelation that had just opened. The Dr herself treats anything said as either an exaggeration or a lie, and will frequently refuse to give referrals to specialists that deal width issues my fiancé had had well documented over the years. The office is also horribly slow at prescription refills, taking as long as two weeks to call back regarding refills for a generic allergy medication (which we get add an Rx because we are very strained for money and have a $1 copay for a one month supply) that we could literally turn around and grab a two week supply of for 88 cents. So it seems you have to call a about your next refill as soon as you fill your last one to keep things timely. If waiting to get medication refills was an issue, then don't even try to get an appointment in a timely manner. The soonest she had ever been avaliable is one month, even in time sensitive issues. Expect to spend most of your time and money on urgent care and the ER if you have her as a primary care practitioner, because your problem will not be addressed by her ant sooner that about three months. Hard to build a relationship with a Dr you can never get in to see. The only thing she's good for its a flu shot and yearly check up. Beyond that she's in over her head and dragging you down with her.

I love Dr Snyder, and am really surprised to see other negative comments about her bedside manner. She is very direct and open, has a good sense of humor and explains things in a way that regular non-doctors can understand. She is great with my kids and is always polite. She even came to my house to see my daughter once. I've never been happier with a doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Snyder's for approx. 5 years and am currently in the process of finding a new doctor. She is mean and judgemental - I don't feel like I can be open, honest or go to her expecting help without leaving feeling horrible about myself. She expresses opinions based on her personal beliefs and insists on trying to practice pop-psychology as well as medicine. I dread getting sick because I know that I will have to deal with her arrogant personality and lack of tact. I can't believe I have been giving her compensation for this "care" for as long as I have.

I love her nurses, but Dr. Snyder's bedside manner is just awful. When I asked her questions, about medicine she prescribed she looked at me like I had 3 heads. I'm not a doctor she is, that's why I asked. She also called me a liar when I told her the things I had been working on. I think she is rude and arrogant. I would say she is knowledgeable, however to be frank her attitude sucks.

She is awesome! Makes you feel very comfortable.
