Dr Ahktar has been my gastroenterologist for 3 decades. I am incredibly blessed to have this man as my Dr. He has performed EDG colonoscopy ECT. Ive referred my husband daughter two very good friends and more everyone of them are extremely impressed by Dr Ahktar I definitely would and have referred and recommend him James Marisol Bebe make a great team Gabby who works in the office is a smile maker

DONT GO HERE The office manager lied to my insurance company. I went for preventative screening. Hadnt been in 9 years. They coded a diagnosis without even seeing me to force a copay. Dont trust Jay the billing manager EVER. Took 6 months to get my incorrectly charged copay returned in 2015.

Dr Akhtar and Dr. Mikhail Alper have been wonderful with my father. They both have been very kind to us and answered all of our concerns and questions But hanging out in the waiting room is a night mare The girl at the front desk loves her chewing gum In fact so much that she makes an awful popping noise. She seems professional with all the people coming in and calling but the gum chewing just left me thinking how professional does that seem for the office When you have to wait for over an hour for a patient and listen to that popping noise I could not wait to get the hell out of there

Beware. If you want a billing office that is honest with your insurance company this IS NOT the place to go. Take warning. Find another place.

If you want to lose money youve found the place. They incorrectly charged me in 2010 for copay when my insurance pays full. Took 6 months to get my money back. Went this month 9 years later and office manager Jay forced a diagnosis and lied to my insurance carrier. She says my doc referred me as screening and even though no exam done except chatting with Dr akhtar she found a diagnosis. My insurance company called her and she refused to put the screening referral diagnosis first. That of course forces me to pay copay when none due. Did not go for any symptoms. Went as preventative as primary doctor referred.

I went in for an endoscopy and I didnt feel a thing I was so nervous but the staff and nurses calmed my nerves and before I knew it it was all over I never officially met Dr. Akhtar who performed the endoscopy but I can assure you he did an excellent job
