Ucla Health Manhattan Beach Pediatrics's Online Review Report Card

This place is quite magical in my opinion. I have a 10mo and 3yr old sons and both have seen multiple doctors at this location. I picked it because of its convenience but the staff, doctors and easy, FREE parking all make it the best experience for me and my kids. The staff have always been very helpful, kind and considerate. My sons don't feel any anxiety walking in there. A recent flu shot experience was seriously comparable to going to Disneyland because my toddler was smiles the whole time and walked out feeling like a superhero. I have unfortunately called and visited this location too frequently in the last year due to various ailments and check ups for my sons, but every single encounter was pleasant and helpful. Thank you!

Honestly, I haven’t been inside the building, I don’t mean to sound like a Karen but I live very close to this building, and the noise it emits constantly sounds like a plane going over my head but louder, I can’t open my windows anymore without being blasted with noise. I appreciate that they turn it off at night but during the day its everywhere, the noise echoes around the neighborhood and when I’m in front of my house it sounds like it’s coming from all directions. I really feel bad for my neighbors as well who have to listen to it. It genuinely sounds like I’m living next to a freeway. I’m sure it’s impossible to lower the noise, but it just started one day with no warning, and even with my windows and doors closed I can still hear it now as I type.

BEWARE! Do not go to this location unless you want to be refused care or if you are ok with rude customer service. My 2 year old son got denied care at UCLA Manhattan Beach Pediatrics by Norma Reyes (supervisor) due to the fact that he came with his grandmother, and not his parents. He had a written permission from me, and we also offered to video chat me so I could show my photo ID. However, Norma refused, which I thought was ironic seeing that UCLA is literally offering TeleHealth appointments, and was, overall, very unhelpful and rude and even smirked when they had to leave, and this lack of empathy, especially in Pediatrics, baffled me. Norma also didn't even attempt to help. The manager (didn't get his name, unfortunately) of the location who called me later was even more unhelpful. There wasn't even any apologies offered or some kind of action promised. All that was told that "it'll be looked into" which is pretty much code for nothing will be done. At the same time, just last month my mother and my son went to UCLA Ronald Reagan Pediatrics department twice(!) by themselves, and all that was required was just an email stating my permission, not even a signature. We live pretty far away, and my son is only 2 years old, so driving back and forth for an hour each way is hard for him. I'm not even mentioning the fact that during COVID-19 this is definitely not a great idea for anyone, especially a child, to frequent public places. As a former UCLA Health family, we won't be getting health care from any UCLA hospital or clinic because I want to be confident in my medical care and not be refused in the future.

Dr. Ghafouri and Dr. Sherman are AWESOME! My boys have been going to this office for years and we always receive great service. Both doctors are always pleasant, energetic (which you need when dealing with children) and thorough. The nurses and front desk are very pleasant and accommodating. It is a very warm office. I highly recommend UCLA Manhattan Beach Pediatrics.

He was 100 percent fully aware my spouse was doing medical procedures to our children without my consent and did not reach out or ask permission or inform me. I would leave zero stars if that was an option. he doesn't have a code of ethics.

Dr Gregory Dann didn't listen to what I had to say about my child's condition. It's really scary, also, he disregarded what I observed and said "you can't prove it."

As a physician myself I am very particular in who takes care of my infant. Dr Sherman is top notch , best of the best. Highly recommend. She is always pleasant , professional , and responds to messages in a timely manner which puts my wife at ease which means I’m at ease. High marks for Dr Sherman 👍🏽
