Dr. Hohl performed a tricky procedure on my eight year-old son’s ankle. Osteomyelitis was very close to his growth plate. Dr. Hohl avoided the growth plate, and my son’s future growth was not affected. Years later, his ankle is still strong and he is able to play his favorite sports. A very heartfelt thanks to a wonderful doctor!
after nine years ago I still remember him my daughter was born with club feet now she is a happy girl and all I can say is that I feel thankful and blessed Hope he can see my comment because I want him to know that if I have the opportunity to see him again all I want is give him a big hug
My son spent two years seeing dr. Hohl for an unusual condition, exertional compartment syndrome, the doctor never diagnosed it. Total failure on his part. Our next orthopedist, dr. Snibbe picked it up immediately. 2 years lost to this guy's failure.
Although my knee issue was not very serious Dr Hohl explained everything in detailed and explained how I can prevent the injury from getting any worse. My overall experience with him and the office was great. I was in and out within an hour including the x-rays with prescription for physical therapy. I think the key is to come early in the morning because as I was leaving the waiting room was full of people for that day.
Thanking him a million times over for superb surgery and got my knee back to normal.
Dr. Hohl treated me for an impingement in my shoulder. I have a family history of bursitis and he was very attentive and listened to everything I had to say (without judgement or being presumptuous in any way). Taking what I had told him into consideration, he proceeded to diagnose me. He agreed it could be hereditary and related to the shape of a particular bone in the shoulder. An x-ray was performed, he verified there was a curvature in the bone (often called spurs) and gave me my options. He suggested we start with physical therapy to strengthen the muscles and recommended a cortisone shot to reduce the inflammation so I could proceed with therapy. He gave me the shot personally and I never even felt the needle. There may be a potential need for surgery should physical therapy prove ineffective and if that's the case, I'll definitely have the surgery performed by Dr. Hohl.
the absolute worst experience. not only was the doctor an hour and a half late but i've just received my bill. Which not only are they charging me my co-pay but they are charging me a double co-pay because some bull shit about having to pay for the room- so i get two bills. One from the doc and one from cedars. WTF? Ive never heard of such BULL. Sure fire way to make sure patients don't return. Just complete and utter bullshit that they dont share with you when you make the appointment. They just say- oh yes- we take your insurance. Bunch of assholes.
Dr. Hohl is thoughtful and explains issues well. I have a very high level of confidence in his experience and judgment.
He's arrogant and incompetent. He refused to see me based on the message I left the office about terrible thigh pain and a swollen knee. I was told nothing was wrong and I could have a knee injection if I preferred. It turned out to be a large tumor that was diagnosed 1 year later by another M.D., which I had removed.
Dr. Hohl is the best hands down. His dad was a great Orthopedist and he learned from one of the best. His knowledge and patience in explaining complex procedures and breaking it down to where even the child having the surgery could understand depending on age of course. He will not recommend surgery if you don't need it. Many doctors today are all to eager to operate.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
