Dr. Melamed thoroughly discussed the results of my examination and the procedure that he recommended for me. He recommended a minimally invasive procedure that several other doctors that I had previously seen never suggested. The staff are very friendly, caring, and professional. I was contacted several times after my surgery to see how I was doing. This thoughtful follow up meant a lot! I am currently 6 weeks out from my surgery and I am pain free!

Dr. Melamed has operated on my spine 3 times, most recently when I had a neck injury and lost the use of my right hand. The attached photo is of the hardware Dr. Melamed inserted in my neck and spine during a 6.5 hour surgery, where he returned the use of my right hand to me. I keep returning to Dr. Melamed for my spine surgery needs because of his superior knowledge of the spine, his commitment to the healing of his patients, his hard driving excellence in the operating room, and his sheer love for his profession. I would never trust my spine to any other surgeon.

I have been going to Dr Melamed for a few years now. He performed my second lumbar spine fusion and corrected the fusion from the previous Dr. I have so much confidence in Dr Melamed, that I have referred two friends to him. What I like about Dr Melamed is that he is not one to rush into surgery. He will try everything possible before recommending surgery. I am now seeing him for a herniated disc in my neck. Surgery was never discussed but alternative treatments were recommended. Another thing I like about Dr Melamed is I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. My previous Surgeon had wait times of up to 2 hours past the appointment time. Very frustrating.

Hi my self Harsimran Singh and I have a spine problem from last 8 year . I m a truck driver been driving from last 10 year I did not care abt my helth. And ignore my plm . In 2021 ( feb ) I did MRI and found my disc is slip into 1 side and it blocked my blood circulation. My Leg feeling week . I visit almost 7 doctor in Bakersfield CA . No one satisfied me abt my plm . Dr. Melamed spent almost an hour with me reviewing my test results, options and answering my questions. He discouraged making any decisions on surgery but rather we monitor my condition until I saw changes in my physical condition that I felt needed to be addressed.
