I had my gastric bypass over 10 years ago when I was 300lbs, and since my surgery I lost 150 of those pounds and have managed to keep it off. I did A LOT of EXTENSIVE research before I chose Dr. Korman to do my surgery, and in all honesty I would do it again in a New York minute if I ever need to. He went above and beyond the call of duty when I was preparing for my procedure, and he even had me bring in my minor daughter because I am a single mom so he could answer any questions she may have had. The one question she had for him was will this surgery kill my mom, and he was totally honest with her and told her he has done thousands of the same procedure and has never lost one patient, but if I didn’t lose the weight it would kill me just as fast if not faster and I appreciated him being honest with her. He even told her that if she wasn’t comfortable with me having the surgery he wouldn’t do it, but since he answered her main question along with a couple others she told him she trusts him and to please make her mom better again. I love this man to death, because he gave me my life back and allowed me to enjoy it doing things with my daughter that I hadn’t been able to do in a long time which helped make our relationship even stronger. This man truely is a life saver, and you will be more than safe in his hands.

Terrific experience and excellent results. Dr Korman is kind, brilliant, listens and is the best surgeon. I had a calm and relaxing stay at Cedars and the staff were great to me.

I felt very comfortable with Dr. Korman and the entire staff. Everyone was really sweet and guided me through the whole process from start to finish. I already recommended them to my daughter and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is thinking about weight loss surgery. It was the best decision I ever made.

I spoke with a person in the office, the 1st thing they asked was for my insurance information which they ran and they said "I qualify". I called to get information about the weight loss program. I was informed that I would be prescribed pills and I would have to pay $100 a month! I said no, that does not work for me. I was charged just for the information. I would strongly suggest, unless this is something you are ok with pills (everybody is different) and being charged than this will work for you.
