Montage Medical Group - Marina's Online Review Report Card

Montage in Marina is one of the worst medical groups I’ve ever dealt with. The customer service in obtaining an appointment is terrible and they always seem to schedule appointments weeks in advance. I have also had appointments rescheduled several times at the last minute. What I also find disturbing is that my primary care doctor is rarely available. He only works a few hours a week and unfortunately is rarely available to see patients. The check in staff upstairs constantly change and the attendants have very little training and a few of them lack manners and customer service skills. I have had appointments and ended up waiting well beyond my scheduled appointment time. Montage as a medical provider just doesn’t seem to care about their patients or the quality of care they provide. I was recently seen in the hospital and was told to get an immediate follow up appointment. Well that appointment is for August ( 2023 ) and we are currently in the month of April. Overall I am not impressed with the care provided by this medical facility. Did I mention that several doctor's I have seen at Montage have quit and gone elsewhere to practice medicine. I have had more than three doctors quit Montage. That's pretty sad.

Terrible. Impossible to get a hold of someone on the phone. If you use the portal to leave a message it takes 3 days for them to get back to you ,very generic and not usually helpful.. Had the doctor send a prescription to the pharmacy. The pharmacy says they never got it. Tried calling the doctor's office again to get it corrected. Of course they never answered so went into Dr office ,they said they sent it. Went back to the pharmacy they said they never got it. Got a notification from the wrong pharmacy 3 weeks later and it was the wrong prescription.

I've been to multiple blood labs done due to pregnancy but this location definitely has to be my favorite. Both of these staff members were so kind and caring and repeatedly checked to make sure I was okay throughout my multiple hour stay. I hope whoever their boss is realizes what gems they are and is taking good care of them because they deserve it. If you're going here to get blood work you can't go wrong coming here especially if you get one of those two.

I really like Dr. Carmen but hate the way the office is managed. Was asked to complete online check-in the day before my visit which I did. This morning I was asked to do this again. I was told I needed to arrive 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment which I did. 30 minutes later I was still waiting to be called back. Once back in an exam rooom I was asked the same questions I answered twice in the online check-in, then informed tge doctor would see me in 20 to 30 minutes. That's over an hour from when I was told I must arrive to ensure my appointment wouldn't be canceled. This place has zero respect for the time of their patients.

I really wish I would have checked the reviews on this practice prior to becoming a patient at Montage Medical Group in Monterey. Throughout my entire pregnancy I have had a total of seven appointments canceled on me. When I questioned why those appointments continuously get canceled, the receptionists would come-up with the same dimwitted response all several times - "Dr. Clark will be out of the office. Sorry. That's all we can state at the moment". So, the questions is this; why book out your clients if you're going to be out of the office all of the time with no other practicing dr's covering for you?! It's absolutely mind blowing especially being a high-risk patient. Their receptionist also told me that there were no other appointments I could book with my dr after they canceled on me, but I could be seen by a nurse practitioner (this was my only option all several times they canceled on me). Being seen by an NP is fine, but not every-single-time your dr has to cancel on you while being a high-risk pregnancy patient. Seven appointments is almost 50% of the appointments you have when you're pregnant and is just absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional.Also, I have been told several times that my husband/partner could come with me to appointments and then when he arrives with me they turn him away due to Covid-19 rules which is totally fine, but don't say one thing and then waste your patience time once they get there... especially when your own staff can't even follow simple Covid-19 mask rules by wearing face coverings properly in the work space - what a joke! At 30 weeks pregnant, I am now having to find another practice that is more reliable and and professional as the staff at MMG are exactly the polar opposite of just that.

When I explained I was looking for something a bit sooner, the operator said there were available appointments 2 months out in the Marina office with Dr. Manjiri, which was acceptable. So I scheduled the appointment. 1 week before my appointment, the office called me to tell me that the doctor would only be available for a virtual visit for my appointment and would not explain why this was the case. The receptionist also claimed that they could not schedule me for an in-person visit as they are booked for months out. I could have scheduled an appointment with a respectable, responsible office months ago. Now I have to find another doctor and accommodate their schedule and I'll never get that time back. Thanks a lot.
